One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

After a good first season, that looked promising to me, I continued watching four seasons of this show, but now I will just give it up. It's going nowhere and downhill is the only direction it's taken. The strange relationship between Chris Geere and Aya Cash was interesting to watch, sometimes a bit funny but not hilarious like some people say. The story went downhill since Aya Cash played the depressed character. But that's not the only reason I stopped watching this. The main reason is the very unlikable characters played by Desmin Borges and Kether Donohue. The first one has the same very irritating nasal voice as Ross from Friends, add on that that he's not funny at all and you get quickly irritated. The most irritating character is played by Kether Donohue. I don't think you could make her any dumber than she is. Cringing to watch. The only really funny character is played by Todd Robert Anderson, unfortunately he's not one of the major characters and so you don't get to see him alot. Season five will be without me watching it. There are much better comedies to watch at this moment.

If you are a writer for this show and would like someone to buy you lots of alcohol when you visit Hawaii next time please let me know. Just please don't ask me to buy drugs for you. Yes, I know you, you writers! But seriously, I find the humor wacky, it tries to be poignant in the midst of the mad hijinx and shenanigans. This is one of those versions of Hollywood where no one seems to work all that much but the main characters, the white ones at least, live in apartments in the hills. But don't get me wrong, I'm glad someone is employing these actors, or at least some of them, because otherwise they might be over-acting in some stunt-man grindcore bullpucky. Generally, there's a lot of sympathy for the characters...The dorky guy characters are well-drawn, and have some sensitivity for the real difficulties American men face, like total metaphoric castration by their awful female partners. Boundaries are well-drawn, no blurred lines here, it's a well-crafted universe, as the writer is the main character, of course, but is this world one with happy endings to the mundane drama of this handsome and titillating couple? We live, we die, we write rom- coms...Thank god Will Arnett isn't in this show!

This show started out strong and had some really good comedy. What the heck happened? Gee let's pick a subject ripe for a COMEDY like depression. That should be good for some laughs! Next the brilliant writers will cover rape and molestation....yeah that should really get the people laughing.... I really hope with the recent introduction of the bar owner they will kill off the redhead and get back to some comedy because this show went from being really great to a total waste of time.I don't know of any other good current comedy shows on, so finding this was like a breath of fresh air. Then the writers got off on this depression thing and KILLED this show. Sorry, but there are subjects that have no place on a COMEDY. You want to write a drama, go for it but do not ruin the only decent sit-com on the air.

I actually used to love this show. But a druggie depressed mess who leaves and he ends up with the girl who has been flirting around the edges? REALLY? Crap crapity crap crap. And she is all surprised that he has a girl when she has met the girl and been rejected by him for her. Slut. And what's the message there. He was pretty quick to move on. What's next? Let me guess. She losses her job. Wow now that's funny. I need more lines so I will write some more. The story used to be funny and cute and dark. I understand that it's a dark comedy but right now it's all dark and no comedy. Move away from the drama. Put the drama down. I just wanted to express to you that it is not absolutely necessary to kill the characters personalities. I never do reviews on anything, ever, but I was afraid thr show was walking down the path to destruction.
