Purely Joyful Movie!

Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

I watched the first half-season hoping for this to become something it never became, while also watching most of SyFy's other scripted shows (as well as the other networks). One by one the other shows have disappeared - the most recent being The Expanse (though Amazon picked it up, thank goodness) and Colony (on USA Network, but, like SyFy, owned by NBC Universal) - however this collection of bad writing and acting is still going strong.Thank goodness Van Helsing and Killjoys are still around on SyFy (though it's unclear how long that will continue, since it seemed touch-and-go for both after last season), because they are worth the time to keep watching (and yes, they both have strong female leads, so that's not my issue with Earp - Earp is just bad). Not sure why there are all the 10s for this show, unless there is some other motive by those reviewers. The pilot was universally panned, and those involved with the series never seem interested in improving things.Hopefully SyFy will find something better with which to replace this after this season.

"Wynonna Earp" is a show about a women who hunts demons, WE has some funny moments and is one of SyFy's greatest shows along with Channel Zero and The Magicians.

I've watched the first episode only for ten minutes. Maybe it was the really bad cgi or the bad acting, I stopped watching. Half a year later, I've tried again and it's still the same: wodden dialogues, more bad acting (except Greg Bryk, he was brillant), unbelievable storylines.. but I'm still watching. It's episode 11 now and I'm happy to see the second season. What am I? A bad person, what's wrong with me...Edit: Watching Second Season... it get's worse. It's like an accident, I have to watch!

This show, honestly, isn't that great. I personally couldn't get into it. A lot of people can, that's fine, but not me. It's filled with overacting and wonky casting. The premise of the story is good (All descendants of the Earp family are cursed to send the reanimated corpses of those killed by Wyatt Earp with his Colt Peacemaker) but the execution of it seems lacking. Again, the casting is just off enough I was never able to become invested in any characters and the overacting is painful in some areas. The only reason I stuck with the full first season was because of Michael Eklund -Bobo del Ray. Eklund plays the character just crazy enough he doesn't come off as campy or ridiculous. If it weren't for him, I'd have given up on the show after the first episode.
