pauladams666 I ended up watching this with the sound turned down. I found the narration by David Suzuki to be tedious in the extreme. This man may be a well respected academic, but he can't read a script to save his life. They should have used an actor or someone of the ilk of an Attenborough who understands what intonation is. Such a shame because, for me, it spoiled the eye candy of the wilds of Canada. And, while I think of it,the script itself wasn't that great either. 10 out of 10 for the filming, 5 out of ten for the script, 1 out of 10 for the narration. I think I've been generous giving it an overall 9, but the cinematography really was superb.
Matthew Starr I watched all 4 episodes of Wild Canada and they all had amazing footage. It shows just how great and diverse the Canadian wilderness is. One shot that stood out was a lone mountain goat on the awe inspiring cliffs of the Stikine River in Northern BC. The bear footage and slow motion salmon jumping were also very well done. It was great to learn about the different animals and ecosystems. David Suzuki did a great job narrating the series. It highlights the need to protect these beautiful places and animals so that they can be enjoyed for generations to come. It was also interesting to see behind the scenes, which showed how they got certain shots (more difficult than you think). I hope that similar programs will be released in the future.
