Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

What a brilliant watch season 1 was , then season 2 happened - totally disjointed and most of the cast got
Killed off at the end of season 1 , and the script of season 2 totally rubbish - shame as season one had us hooked - rated this 9/10 for season 1 , would rate second season 3 at the most

I gave this series a 7 out of 10 because the first season was great...and then, the second season happened. The second season made me question this show. Some of the characters in the first season turned out to be a different character in the second season. Rosalee was a scary one turned most courageous over night. Noah lost his courage. Stein became addicted to drugs and suicidal, sleeping with a man who hits her...(it just seemed so out of her character.) Cato turned villain, turned good guy, turned villain again...in two seasons? It had me questioning do I want this person to win? Wait, why was I rooting for this character again? And what was up with the countless story telling/ too much talking scenes? Are we watching a show or an interview? There were flash backs and scenes that had nothing to do with the storyline or moving the show forward. The ladies practiced shooting... to not use it. Cato transported Noah... just to talk to him...erm OK? Flash backs of Cato fighting...for what? Harriet Tubman did little to nothing when historically she's done much more. Rosalee gets bit by a snake and... Well, she had been bit. Things also felt rushed. John's death and Rosalee's pregnancy. Noah and Rosalee barely had sex. I like this show but Season 2 was a no for me.

This is an exciting series.Great writing, story and acting.I appreciate the music. This show is about escape from slavery. Today's entertainment industry - especially music and sports - provide an opportunity for some people to escape their own circumstances.

Would've given this a higher rating but the music is out of whack and not suitable with a period series such as this. Using rock music is especially annoying so we've gotten around that by muting when it plays. This is especially evident in the episode Season 1 , near the beginning where there's a social event/dance and Elizabeth does a dance ( as a distraction) to this modern rock music, weird indeed. It was like the scene changed to "just acting".
