A small town is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. While military forces, the government and the media positioned outside of this surrounding barrier attempt to break it down, a small group of people inside attempt to figure out what the dome is, where it came from, and when (and if) it will go away.

Under the Dome Audience Reviews

GazerRise Fantastic!
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
guldo ... there are definitive weaknesses in it. *SPOILER ALERT* A SLIGHT ONE*Consistency for one thing, the characters are way too fluctuating between good and bad, without being body snatched, they tend to completely blank out of their minds that one of their own is a multiple murderer, to suddenly become acutely aware of this fact, and then later seem to forget it altogether again. Emotionless beings show emotions etc etc, more can be added to the list. Besides, it suffers from the general problem with very unconvincing extras, sub key main characters simply non-existent for a row of episodes, even though I felt many times they should've shown their faces here and there, if for nothing else to give the viewer a sense of coherence. There are other things I found rather dumb and out of place, but I won't go into extreme detail here. All in all, it's an entertaining show, albeit a little annoying sometimes, but overall totally ok to watch. A little long and drawn out storyline though, some things could've been done a little more effectively I think, but nevertheless, it's an ok show. I really disliked their daughter in the third season though, and I think they sidestepped the whole emotionless quality of the beings by having her behave in that manner. It ticked me off a little. So, if you have some time to kill and want to watch something for the entertainment value alone, then by all means, watch this show.
Diane0529 I watched all three seasons when they first aired, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just watched all three seasons again with my granddaughter, and still enjoyed it. I hadn't read any of the reviews until now. The only thing I truly agree with considering all the bad reviews, is that there were definitely too many commercials too often during the initial airing. I actually enjoyed it much more watching on Amazon Prime where there were no commercials! I'm sorry they didn't continue with a fourth season, but I guess I understand why now. Sorry so many people didn't like it
khageshbit Please don't waste your time watching this stupid show. i don't understand how it got 6.7 rating i watched this series season one because the concept of the dome was very interesting and seems promising so i continued watching after watching episodes by episodes i got very irritated this show is very dumbest show ever. poor acting logic less things characters do stupid things. if you want to pass your time you should go and sit in front of a wall and watch it for a hour instead of watching this series. completely nonsense.
mrdigitacidgaming I stopped watching at (well, during.) the 12th episode of the first season. Apparent repetition of story line and plots don't bother me as much as the sheer stupidity with which the lady sheriff is portrayed in the story line. The writing is so bad for a character with this profession it literally makes me cringe. This pokes holes the size of watermelons in the story line of this particular episode, and because of that, I reckon many more to come. I am not interested in actors and the like, and I don't have any complaints with their attempts to make an interesting theory with a bad script as realistic as possible. Now, I've read that this show is supposedly based on a book. I admit, I don't read much, but maybe I should. Perhaps the book won't disappoint me when the story SHOULD be getting more interesting.
