A great and fun action anime. I like the second opening of this season 1. I like the characters, the animation and the action sequences. I suggest 14 and up. If mature enough 12 and up. The English dub is pretty good for the most part. If you like shonen anime, give it a shot.

The Seven Deadly Sins is another original anime from Netflix, just like Knights of Sidonia, and Ajin: Demi-Human. But is it a good anime to watch? Read to find out! In this fantasy world, about ten years ago, a whole group of Knights were slaughtered by the Seven Deadly Sins, and the king was killed. Ten years have past, and the holy knights are still on the hunt for the Seven Deadly Sins. The story soon starts us off with a little guy serving food and drinks in his bar, but people talking about the seven deadly sins gets them a bit tense, and soon after words, a knight comes in, saying the seven deadly sins, everyone runs out like they smelled a fart. Soon the person in the armor falls and it comes apart showing a female, she soon says she is looking for the seven deadly sins to the little guy, but it turns out that he is Meliodas, the leader of the seven deadly sins. They soon head out on a journey to look for the rest of the deadly sins, and they will find out about a dark plan that is in the capitol. The characters are great, they have their own personalities, and the way they interact with each other is funny, you will get attached to these characters. As for the art style, its nice, it looks a little bit like Fairy Tail in a sense, but I will say, even though it looks like a child friendly anime, it's not. If you have Akame Ga Kill, and Fairy Tail, but them together and you have The Seven Deadly Sins. I was surprised by the gore in this anime, due to the art style. For the music, catchy, it sounds like Fairy Tail's type soundtrack. Now there is one issue for people that don't like stuff that's out there. Now without giving much away, but there will be points, even near the end of the show where they face these creature with a human figure at the bottom of their stomach, and where people turn into them, there is a reason for this, which is good, but it might be a little out there for some people. There is also one thing that was never explained for one character in the last episode sooooo you're left with nothing.I will say though that it is left with a cliffhanger, but in a sense, its more like there will be another season. And what Netflix does best, you can also listen to it in Spanish, French, German, Japanese, which I would probably like to watch again in Spanish, sense I'm still learning Spanish and there is also not much anime dubbed in Spanish. The English dub is also perfect! My Final Thoughts: This show is probably better than Knights of Sidonia, it has action, likable characters, and a compelling story! If you like Anime or a Fairy Tail/Akame Ga Kill type anime, this is it, and it's a Netflix original! Besides the weird parts of the show, this anime is superb!

First of all, the pilot of this is just outstanding. I couldn't stop binge-watching since the beginning. Basically, the story is about a kingdom, known by Liones (which is located inside the Brittania- clearly a reference to the ancient Britain) , where the peace and justice were/are kept by the holy knights. Those warriors are very powerful, according to anime one of them capable of facing one hundred of men. Politically, Liones was unstable due to the weakening of the King and also the attempts of some of the holy knights at developing new powers for themselves. Alongside this situation, there were the especial once holy knights, the seven deadly sins; those sins, who are actually the most powerful holy knights all around Brittania, were accused of trying to take the King down, implying a war between the other holy knights and these seven deadly sins. It turned out that the seven deadly sins didn't have any fault in what happened in that attempt against the king. However, this bad fame still stands even ten years later (the actual time of that story). There is much more interesting details about that story. But what is more interesting is the whole development through its 24 episodes in the first season and there is still plenty of unanswered questions which I hope will be answered in the next season.
