This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Keeley Coleman
The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Lidia Draper
Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

OMG! This has to be one of the dumbest and most unbelievably written shows EVER... I saw maybe the 2nd through 4th shows back in '07, and recently watched all of them on Netflix and was left talking to my pc and shaking my head.The scripts seemed to be written in the same vein as late 60's & early 70's sitcoms. Think "Bewitched or I Dream Of Jeannie" dialog, "I just saw that little girl disappear Darin, uh,...um.., no Larry that was a trick for um..., Sam? Well we used an invisible what's it's name to make it look that way for you new ad.. Have another drink." Same unbelievable BS rehashed and put to modern times on cable. I mean REALLY, they claim to not want the buffer life but then do not choose to return. They make up dumbass lies over NOTHING! The Boss parks outside and Wayne/Doug argues with a SECURITY GUARD about it, claims it's his & spends 5 minutes of dialog making up more nervous unbelievable lies instead of saying "yeah it's my friends car I'll move it." Dalhia/Sherene turns herself in but lies to Doug/Wayne and freaks out and tells 1000 lies while doing it. Then get's an apartment in a trashy part of town despite having means for a better place.Doug/Wayne grabs a bag of dope & ingests it all but doesn't want to blow his buffer/lawyer life. Oh.., the dope came from some nut she met in jail and who was able to read the wall painting that the boy/girl painted on the wall that stayed for weeks. SMH Everybody IS/WAS Farking Dumb on that show..It's ending was a mercy killing.

I am absolutely taken by this show. In a time where reality TV has run a muck - the cast is pure talent. Gold. I love this show and am so upset to hear this may be the end. If FX has any common sense they'll keep this one! The chemistry between Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver is amazing - you can clearly tell that they relate to one another. The kids are all very unique and extremely well played. I don't think they could have gotten better actors/actresses for these roles. Even crazy Dale is amazing. I never understood why they don't try rerunning these shows from the first season to see if they could nab anyone else. They didn't do much in ways of advertising for it - since I just happened upon it a couple months ago. If you haven't seen it, you simply HAVE to! It's addicting!

"The Riches" is a real treat. Part drama, part comedy, this tale of con-artist travellers posing as an affluent middle-class family hits all the right marks.The show relies on sympathetic performances by Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver and succeeds in delivering the goods. Both actors are convincing as the American travellers experiencing a new way of living with their family.The humorous script is well written, the production values are high...this is simply excellent, original television.It's early days but I'm wondering if the show will last the five years that Izzard has suggested in interviews. At this stage, I'd welcome further series of "The Riches" as the possibilities for the show's development are numerous.9 out of 10.

I honestly think this is the best show I've seen on TV in a while! It's one of the most creative, innovative, and entertaining new shows out. I've always been a huge TV addict, but this is the only show that I have to catch each week.. there's always some new and exciting plot twist that you're not expecting. Instead of the common sitcom with the cookie cutter family whose biggest problem is someone getting an F on a test, this show has real depth and is very relatable (although not all of us are travelers who have assumed a new life in someone else's house)! You've got the conniving father who has, thus far, successfully carried out a lie that he is a competent lawyer, when in fact all he truly knows about law is how break it. The mother comes across as a slightly depressed housewife in a nice neighborhood, and her drug addiction is great, because so many suburban families and neighborhoods truly do have that issue underlying. The children are all great, and who can remember the last time there was a child in a show who wasn't sure about his gender role?! I just love the diversity of the family and each episode.. A+!
