The Returned Audience Reviews

Borgarkeri A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Voxitype Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.
Benas Mcloughlin Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
gogoschka-1 The eerie atmosphere in this strange, beautiful series about returning dead people is absolutely captivating and a unique experience. This ranks among the best I've recently seen on TV or in the cinema. The whole production, from the actors to the setting and the music, is pure art. 9 stars out of 10.In case you're interested in more underrated masterpieces, here's some of my favorites:imdb.com/list/ls070242495
iarlanthirien I thoroughly enjoyed watching the 1st series, despite not at all being a fan of supernatural and/ or zombie-movies and series. The characters were well-thought out and performed, the setting was eerie but interesting and overall it left me wanting to see more. Unfortunately, the second series didn't live up to my expectations... I really struggled getting through the first episode, and gave up entirely after the second. That said, the first season was great enough to watch on its own and comes highly recommended.
tibet23 Pointless and overestimated show. Two series and they keep mixing things up just to avoid giving the viewer any clue. Characters contradict their statements after a few episodes. They all seem to know "something" and when asked the simply reply: "I don't know". Which is a trick you can you for one or two episodes NOT two series. And the zombie thing is incoherent and I guess just...stupid. They refer to it as the french Twin Peaks, but rather the authors demonstrated one must be David Lynch to deal with mystery and a whole range of invisible dimensions and universes while keeping people sticking to the screen ad the story. Otherwise we have just great music (Mogwai's soundtrack) and photography. But WITHOUT a good screenplay it's simply atmosphere and teen drama... no chills, just boredom!
patlightfoot I am sure there are many who love this type of never ending story, with irritating mum in laws coming back to spoil everyone's sanity. But although I enjoyed the first few episodes I found the second series somewhat boring and I started losing the plot and theme.Did they ever decide who and why the deceased returned. Not knowing what the finale will bring I would say that the town living are also dead too. Bit far fetched or there is a shift in the time. Something is going on for sure, but as the series points out you can't kill the already dead.Well I hope the final series does the whole series justice, I imagine it will, but so far to me it seems the writers don't know how to bring the series to an end that will suit everyone's ideas.
