Nice effects though.

Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Gloria Sheppard (Ally Walker) is a single mom of two working as an LAPD detective. Her work partner is Michelle Dulcett (Tisha Campbell-Martin). Her brother Davey Sheppard (Chris Payne Gilbert) is a bit of a mess. He's been staying with her family. This is a Lifetime show which has some merits. It's a show about two female cops working together. And it's sold as a working woman balancing life and home. It's the same as any other police procedural. There just isn't any thing new here. Ally Walker certainly has the acting chops to lead this show. But it didn't last. I guess it just didn't distinguish itself from all the rest.
