The Path to 9/11 Audience Reviews

Acensbart Excellent but underrated film
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
Rick-408-903796 Operation Terror provides a more realistic scenario than a guy in a cave in Afghanistan organizing some skinny guys with box cutters outwitting NORAD. 1. 6 ton steel beams cannot fly sideways from the WTC to hit the AmEx building 600 feet away at 60 mph with enough force to stick like darts. 2. Concrete does not crush like air at free fall speed in the WTC 7 for over 2 seconds, as acknowledged by NIST 3. It does not take NORAD or the Air National Guard over an hour to respond to 4 subsonic passenger planes, especially from nearby air bases such as Andrews Air Force Base only a few miles from the Pentagon. Path to 9/11 is propaganda. Ask for a better explanation, such as www.OperationTerror.com
ninjarx In a nutshell, this is the story of how falling asleep at the wheel during the 1990's gave Islamic extremists the opportunity to pull off the attacks of 9/11.It's interesting how quickly we forget about the blunders which were made during the Clinton administration (Somalia, Kosovo, UN Scams, etc) But as long as your stocks were high, and you were gainfully employed...what did you care...right? You can bash President Bush all you want. But what you can't deny is that he was handed the worst situation/event in American history, mostly due to 8 prior years of policy which enabled our enemies pull off an event that most of us could never imagine.I'm sure all the Michael Moore types will post further venom of hate in regards to this post. But in reality...they are as blind as the administration which allowed terrorism to flourish!!
sallyforth-1 Not only does this movie rewrite history to score political points, but it is plain bad cinema. The camera lurches about non-stop. This technique might be useful if used sparingly, but it is laughable when used indiscriminately. Boos to Harvey Keitel for reading the lines he did. Please don't insult our intelligence, Mr. Keitel, by pretending that you were scrupulous in checking the lines for historical accuracy and put up a good fight for the truth. Disney and ABC ought to be ashamed of this production. They lost money on this attempt to influence the outcome of federal elections in the United States. These same bigwigs turned their noses up at "The Reagans", a finer picture, which is balanced and well-researched, because it came too close to an election and showed the Iran-Contra affair amidst other accurate portrayals of history.
Caliwings ABC is a floundering network and people see this as an attempt to garner attention back to it. While those people may have a point, it is a mute one. "The truth has a certain ring to it." The movie didn't have to convince me that something was amiss in our government that led to 9/11, we kinda gather that assumption as individuals on our own... it happened. While there is nothing we can do to undo what happened, we should look back on how we came to "allow" one of the worst terrorist attacks in America's history to happen and to see what we should do so it never happens again. This movie allows the historical timeline of events to guide us towards how we arrived to a day so horrific. While critics and politicians are complaining that the film is not 100% "verbatim" on what the 9/11 Commission has published, it volunteers information from other sources that combine altogether making a hard film to dispute. I am extraordinarily grateful that this is not another crying fest about "that day"; out of the five hours, this two part film shows only a concrete 25 minutes of the madness occurring on 9/11. No one will ever think the same way after watching this film, regardless of it's 'accuracy'. They say the proof is in the pudding, and in this case the pudding isn't in the film at all; It's in the way the Democrats and Republicans complain about this film... they complain with such detail about particular instances! That through my mind, in the afterward, makes this one of ABC's finest contributions to television in a long time. The greatest perspective of this instantaneous classic is that this is a very human film in that humans make poor judgment... and sometimes they make poor judgments too many times in succession. Execution of this movie is flawless. Casting for this film was top-notch; led by strong willed Harvey Keitel is an ensemble of overwhelming supporting performances next to impossible to single out. The film's Editing, Cinematography, Timing, Set Design, Haunting Score, and pitch perfect directing make this film one of the two best I've seen so far this year (the other being "When the Levees Broke") This is one you can't ignore and shouldn't miss seeing. At most, this is only a comment based on one man's opinion. I implore you to watch, and see if you can honestly have a different opinion.
