Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

The show got cancelled in Aug 2016 and that's a bloody shame.Just like The Daily and Colbert Report did The Nightly Show taught me a lot and without knowing it the show has changed my perspective on a few things, and I'm grateful for it.I love Stewart and Colbert but their clever, witty show styles can be and is copied now that big media realized its a cash cow (look at Full Frontal and The Democracy Handbook which I also love). But the Nightly has more soul and a great team that focused on race more than other shows and was a tad more serious and challenged the norm (like Wilmore's speech at the WHCD) which ultimately lead to its demise (which I believe is a very short-sighted decision by CC).I'm sure Yard, Albenese, Walker, Veles, Ramsey, Parra, Carlos, and Wilmore along with the Trump character and Felonious Munk will get jobs very easily after demonstrating the huge talent they are.

I love this show...and the diversity of voices, panelists and perspectives; as well as the satirical perspective. Though many viewers want to compare with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report; Larry Wilmore's The Nightly Show stands on its own. By the way, I loved those aforementioned shows...but found them sparkling...but not laugh out loud funny.....The Nightly Show continues in the same vein. Larry Wilmore has an enviable television resume as a writer and producer. This program definitely has a audience that is not interested or impressed by solely A list celebrity who appear only to promote their new projects. I do wish the show would bring back the 'Keeping It 100' segment.

WOW! What's WRONG with so many of you that you'd negatively review a show format like this one the first 2 weeks it's on air? For those of you comparing it to Stewart, go back to the archives & watch his 1st month of shows from 17 years ago. It's a wee bit different than the Daily Show we know now & not just 'cause he stopped using "Touch of Grey".I LOVE everything that this show has grown into. It is smart, funny & isn't afraid to tread DEEP. The perspectives have been fascinating & the conversations have been much better since they dropped the 4th guest & kept the table to Larry + 3. They've worked hard to tighten up the format & the comedy is good. His team (after a few tweaks) is terrific. And Larry is much more confident that the show is working, too.If you stopped watching, you're really missing a good thing.

Larry Wilmore is a hypocrite. He's a smug, rich, prejudiced man who pretends he cares about the struggles of middle class America. He barely even looks like a black man and I guarantee he lives in a fancy house in white suburbia and crosses the street on the rare occasion that he's in the same vicinity as an actual black man. He's a massive hypocrite. Just watch how excited he gets whenever there's an opportunity to mock a white person or republican. Or how he threw around the word "tranny" immediately after being told it's offensive, only to refer to "the n-word" in the same sentence. You want people to respect your feelings, Larry? How about you respect them, you f*cking hypocritical phony? I can't wait until this show is canceled, purely out of my disgust for this man.
