It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Keira Brennan
The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
Billy Ollie
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

This series lands right at a 7 for me.Honestly, I liked it for the most part.If you're able to make it through the first 3 episodes you'll most likely find the last 7 are a bit better. The series follows 3 main groups - A small group that starts at the police station; a larger group at the church; and the largest group at the mall.Eventually the first two groups wind up at the mall for different reasons of course.Of all the groups, the sanest come out of the police station, craziest at the church, and the people in the mall were written to be mostly paranoid and stupid. Throw in a smattering of other survivors here and there and there's the cast.Of all the actors I'm a bit partial to Dan Butler (aka Bulldog from Frazier) and Frances Conroy (from AHS). They both played their parts amazingly. There are some other strong actors as well. Personally I think almost every actor played their parts fairly well with the script they were given.Enter the problems: predictable situations, too much back story, and lots of dumb decisions. There was some suspense but the "attack" scenes were hit or miss. It's interesting how The Mist acts and how it kills it's victims. It's almost as if it kills people with their worst fears. In some cases it just torments but never kills. I didn't quite get the selective nature though. I guess if the series had been able to continue there would be more answers. The story line slowly begins to unravel but I guess we'll never really know. Being left in limbo makes watching this feels almost pointless, but if you want to be left guessing, or fill in your own answers, then knock yourself out!

The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down. I wasn't a huge fan of the original Mist but this movie was packed with ridiculous cgi and dumb characters taking selfies that i just gave up in the end.

While this show isn't technically horror like the film and story its based on it was interesting enough for me to keep watching. While Stephen King's stories are extremely hit or miss to me anyway I actually enjoyed getting to know the characters through what feels more like a long movie rather than a series. I'm unsure how long the concept can last as a series but it kept me entertained. With sci-fi mystery shows being a dime-a-dozen I'm not sure this one will be unforgettable. But I definitely think it's worth a shot!

I don't want to be rude, but you should find yourself a new line of work, entertainment is not what you are good at. Nothing like the movie from 2007. I don't remember when I was so frustrated watching a series. It was horrible but not the kind you at least have a good kick out of. I did finish the whole season though, I didn't think there was so much hope in me, till the last second. But you killed it all right. Can't blame you for trying. Just try something else next time.
