The Missing Audience Reviews

Odelecol Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Jenna Walter The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
Mehdi Hoffman There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
tgehrts This show is fantastic. It takes horrible, disturbing, sad subjects and weaves a story you just can't stop watching! And Julien Baptiste is probably the greatest "character" I've EVER watched.....the actor is fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
areatw There's no shortage of crime drama shows to choose from out there and most of them are good enough to hold your attention. Very few of them, however, are as deep and thought-provoking as 'The Missing'. This show feels so realistic that it's more like a documentary following the parents of a missing toddler as they search for their child. The acting and writing is top drawer and the story is intelligent and unpredictable. It's an excellent show all round and difficult to fault, but If I'm being picky... I personally think the first series would have benefited from being an episode or two shorter. I'm all for deep and slow- moving plots, but the middle of the first series drags slightly and it struggles to maintain a high level of tension as a result. This is only a minor flaw though in an otherwise excellent mystery drama series. Hopefully this show will continue into its third and possibly fourth series.
IndianaGuy I enjoyed Season 1 a good deal, but this new season is off the hook. The suspense, the tension, the unknowns (the answers to which are doled out at an agonizingly wonderful pace), the twists, the dialog, the acting. All of it has me on the edge of my seat each episode. Tremendous.
jflinco While sick I had time to binge both seasons, which is the best way to address episodic cliff-hangers. The series reminds me of The Killing, at least the first 'good' season which aired in the US. No huge actors, but great acting by all.As a parent it underscores a fear all parents have, and helps reinforce our mild paranoia where our kids are involved.I had one question nagging me from season 2, when Julian is looking at tapes to try and find out how Sophie had spent the unaccounted 3 hours when she went missing from 'home'. She went and bought petrol, and she went and bought flowers to put on the Henry Reed's grave. But no explanation of why she would expend time putting flowers on the grave of someone she met briefly one evening when she was feverishly ill, who quickly diagnosed a burst appendix but then did not further help or cure her. And it doesn't make sense that Adam Gettrick wanted to place flowers on Henry Reed's grave or he would have done it himself, which would have been much safer. Seems like a loose end...I loved the final scene of season 2, when Julian is counting backwards waiting to fall asleep for surgery, and the doctors note his strong constitution, and he stops counting at '3'. Is this a hint that a season 3 is a possibility? One hopes so...
