A Brilliant Conflict
Bessie Smyth
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Frances Chung
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

I just binged the entire season on Netflix and couldn't get enough of it. I'm really bummed there wasn't a second season to continue the story line instead of ending it the way they did. Could have been so much more....

This show starts off really well. Well, sort of. Enough for me to continue watching with some interest. I am now on the 5th episode, more because the story is interesting enough so far... but it's the little things that get to me. Minor spoiler part...The little things like: -how they show peyote in a bowl, then suddenly they are back-to-back having the trip? Why leave out the part where they drink it? It's just ridiculous to leave out the actual drinking of the drug, but to still imply it's usage. -the guy in the wheelchair... The set-up for sadness is so cringe- worthy. -the girl's reaction to being seen naked (albeit briefly) all throughout the episode tell me that this show is geared for kids. -the mom who lost her kid and her reaction to seeing her possible kid is a stretch at best (though this one is more of a major plot issue, I guess) -the odd clues and visions that god gives the group... So many things wrong with this. It's set-up in such an obvious "let's try and try and fail and succeed and try and fail, until... finale?" type way. If god wanted to test humanity (as an all knowing, all seeing, omnipotent being), then these types of tests are rather retarded. These clues and visions and treasure-hunting could have been made far better with just a bit more time and thought. the cops getting the kid (who actually is a terrible actor) made no sense either. End of spoiler partSo overall, this show appeared to be something interesting at first. It gave us a story that was a bit cliché, but not enough for it to be turned off. As you get further into the show, it get's bad. Worse. Awful. I do not drop shows easily. I'm mostly sad about not knowing the story, but it's just *so* bad. Maybe I'll finish it someday. But I don't know if I can sit through two seasons.

I only recently discovered this show because I liked the plot so I continued to finish the season. The entire journey, story line, effects, ups and downs and especially the end was amazing! Such a amazing cliff hanger! I couldn't wait for the next season until I discovered CW's cancellation. One voice may not make a difference however what about all of them put together. Please consider this and bring The Messengers back! If you truly believe it wasn't good enough in your eyes, then make it good enough in your eyes! BUT - In my eyes and through many others it is perfect as it is!

I initially wasn't sure what the point of this show was. I mean how can the blast radius of a meteor seek out specific individuals. But as I continued to watch, things started to make a little more sense. I was really excited about the direction this show could go. It was a new and intriguing idea and if done well could be really entertaining.Unfortunately as I got halfway through the season the show began to lose it's way and got progressively predictable. I knew they only made one season before I started watching it and now I know why. Even the cast became clichéd and I felt like I was watching a soap opera instead of a supernatural drama. It did start to get better before the end but it wasn't enough to save this show.
