Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Bene Cumb /refers to Seasons 1 & 2/In the current era full of catchy crime and/or mystery series, I tend to skip series with sci-fi elements, alternate courses of events, and so on, particularly if connected to controversial topics and approaches like Nazis and their ideas. It is seldom so that the makers dare to be honest of express their concepts as they are afraid of offending (often influential) lobby groups and viewers. But the series in question caught my eye from the very beginning. I have not read the book (even not heard of it before), but the division of the U.S. between Germany and Japan was intriguing, the logic of events seemed plausible, and the use of several character actors (e.g. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Rufus Sewell) rounded all up in a pleasant and convincing manner. The performances are within ensemble, there are no megastars sticking out and stealing the show, and after 2 seasons in sequence, I feel ready for the next one (although, I have to admit that this series implies serious and continuous watch, with some flashbacks and intertwining stuff not easily explained).PS As I later liked Norwegian Okkupert as well, so perhaps I have evolved, being not so need for strict realism in historic events any more...
