Dorathen Better Late Then Never

Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

dagtresland All in all; a solid crime drama with good atmosphere, good cast and it's moving forward in an ok tempo. And the series also want you to see more.....it has a good drive and momentum. A lot of series have a tendency to die out after a while, but i think The Killing even got more interesting towards the end. Negative notes; I'm not the biggest fan of Mireille Enos(Sarah Linden) although she fits the character ok. Thats just my subjective taste. Joel Kinnaman on the other hand does a brilliant job, even though he is a little bit to cool and sluggish at times. Rest of the cast works pretty good in my opinion. Other negative notes; Holders background is a little over the top. It ruins a little bit of credibility. Both Holder and Lindens personal life are frustrating to watch, but i guess that is what they wanted to achieve. Other than that it is small incidents, like when Linden finds Kyle bloody after being chased by the other cadets and he suddenly pops up in front of her car. There is also a couple of other things that doesn't add up, but it doesnt ruin the series. The Killing is a good crime drama, but it has some irritating factors. I would still recommend it to everybody. I give it a 7, but that is a very strong one.

CohenForthright As a crime-drama fan, The Killing is a show that impresses me with the tangled web of deception and red herrings. Just when I assumed I had the guilty party figured out, the show threw a wrench in the cogs of my thinking machine. I loved the writing, and the acting.

peteingram Season 1 was truly excellent. Both characters and plot evolved with great depth. I really enjoyed the suspense and the twists and turns.Season 2 really seemed to me to be incomprehensible. I know nothing of teenage street life. However if I did not have a place to live I am certain that I would not spend any money I had on designer haircuts and cell phones. Additionally I know nothing of life on death row other than I never want to experience it. It turned out that the whole death row was a waste of time having little effect on the final outcome.Season 3 postulated a highly unlikely military academy and an obscure set of circumstances surrounding murders. Totally unbelievable.For the main characters however there was a fitting but unlikely happy ending.Bottom lie for me. I shall probably watch Season 1 again but not 2 and 3.
