When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.
Kamila Bell
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Lachlan Coulson
This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.

SLOW, SLOW, SLOOOOOWWW!! I enjoy thoughtful mysteries but this dragged me down like an anchor. despite the beautiful scenery this was a colossal waste of time. Every actor depressed, no comic relief, no likeable characters, and no closure. The main character, supposedly an educated doctor, mopes around like a 15 year old who can't go to prom. Typically the BBC broadcasts excellent stories but this was pitiful.

The final episode ruins the whole series.Nothing gets answered although there's teasing about 'the truth' of what's really going in every episode. When one of the sub plots of who the murderer is gets revealed,it's really lame and nothing more than a cop out.The final scene makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and as far as i know there's no season 2.It's very, very, slow with very little is happening from episode to episode but one keeps watching to find out the ending, which simply is a complete let down.

Maybe it's just me. But more and more shows seem to want to emulate the offbeat quirky nature of Twin Peaks. However, they almost always fail. What ends up happening is that they interject weirdness and obtuseness just for the sake of being weird and obtuse. It significantly interferes with good old fashioned story telling. And when it comes down to it, all shows, regardless of genre or style, are about telling a story. To intentionally trot out some garbled high brow fogginess and misdirection, powered by multiple misleading story arcs just to try to create mood and tension results in a mess, not a masterpiece. This show is more mess than masterpiece. Things just don't ever really come together with all the different characters and their varying disjointed stories. It's not suspenseful; it's annoying. The show isn't without merit, but it really misses the mark by an Aussie mile.

The good bit - great scenery The bad - everything else The lead role - well if that's acting I wish I had taken It up as a career. Just go around for 8 episodes like a sulky 'Kevin' teenager and being ars@@ with everyone. Ridiculous plot - about 6 themes going on, none of which concluded, with the worst cop out of all i.e. Ending left to your own imagination where you write the script. Tedious.
