The Heart, She Holler Audience Reviews

Inclubabu Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
Catangro After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
Payno I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Sarita Rafferty There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
Maacaw It's hard to see how this show gets any airtime at all. It is by far the worst show I have ever seen on television. The fact that it's supposed to be funny (at least I think it is) makes it even more sad.I have tried to enjoy it, as some adult swim shows need time to grow on me. I sat through probably 4 episodes, and didn't smirk a single time, even a little. I feel terrible for the cast, as they deserve so much better. We need more shows like Children's Hospital, Tom Goes to the Mayor, Moral Orel, and Eric Andre. Do not waste your time on this. Unbelievably bad. If it happens to come on while you are watching adult swim, turn the TV off and find something else to do. You can thank me later.
Brian-of-Stewart The stuff you'll see in this 15 minute show will tear open a part of your psyche that was used in primordial times to defend against the creeping darkness of nonexistence. It's not for the faint at heart or the strong at heart but for the cowardly pond scum that need the answers to the great mysteries of the universe but are afraid to raise their hands in class for fear of losing them to ceiling fans. It's terrible. It's wonderful. It's full of groaning puns, devilish wordplay and scene after scene of Lynch/Cronenberg body horror and mysticism but like scribbled in an eight grader's notebook and set on fire in a trashcan filled with Sloppy Joe leavings. . . It's a grotesque gargoyle baby. It's also funny, and unwatchable. What I'm trying to say is PFFR. You should already know if this is worth watching from the title alone.
Randy Behn Let me begin by stating that this show leaves a very distinct impression the first time you see it. If you have any reservations about... well, just about anything at all, you should probably not bother. This is for the truly uninhibited imagination and for that reason, it will never be very popular. However, for those of us who are up at that time of night and require a little bit more mental stimulation beyond the standard "Family Guy"/"Robot Chicken" pop-culture-reference dreck, this shines out like a filthy golden dildo of truth through the cracks in the mummified vagina of late night television.Watch if you dare.UPDATE (1-7-14): I recently purchased the DVD set of PFFR's first Adult Swim contribution, Xavier Renegade Angel. If you've already given into the sweaty, meat-flavored temptation of The Heart, She Holler, save yourself a flavor and get the Xavier Renegade Angel DVD set on Amazon (right now only $4.99!). Try not to watch any of it on the internet first, as it should be seen/heard in the best possible quality (plus, anything this freakishly brilliant deserves your financial support). Then thank me when you realize that you're watching the best thing Adult Swim or PFFR have ever produced.
necovx301 Well, I have watched the first five shows. I was excited for something new and out of the ordinary...I was very disappointed. While it is different it just isn't written well enough to keep my interest. In fact I think the show is terrible. CN disappointed me with this one big-time! I have been a fan of CN and Adult swim for years. ATHF, Robot chicken, and the other shorts have been great and well written. To me it seems as if the makers are relying on making a show that is a visually like a train wreck for sensationalism rather than having a creative storyline to keep the viewers interest. Unfortunately I have long been burned out on train wreck TV and look forward to more shows with writing like Arrested Development to return. Just didn't find this to be the case with THSH. No offense if you like it, just not my cup O' tea. It was advertised as a horror comedy but I didn't see either of the two in what I was able to watch.
