The Cleveland Show Audience Reviews

Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
mtoboggan There is nothing even remotely clever or funny about the cleaveland show. Conceptually the show does not work as the characters are bland, uninteresting, and the day to day conflicts are trivialat best. The show lacks a compelling storyline and most of the episodes are slow and mind dumbing.
keelhaul-80856 Cleveland is another example of those supporting characters who are really powerful or funny when playing the role they were designed for--but not interesting enough to devote an entire spin-off show to. Cleveland is funny, and this show is still pretty watchable overall, but it isn't nearly as good as Family Guy or South Park. I think MacFarlane has replicated the funny family scenario about enough. We still watch Cleveland Show re-runs occasionally, and it has the Family guy stamp on it, so it is fun, but not really the outrageous hit that the original show provides. I like all of MacFarlane's shows to an extent, but come on-- A wacky family on Family Guy, a wacky black family on Cleveland Show, a wacky CIA/hippie family on American Dad--all of them with a dumb father, dorky son, and an alien/celebrity/dog sidekick??? LOL. They are funny, but the formula gets a bit redundant. Still a good show, just not great. The jokes are fewer and farther between, and Cleveland doesn't have enough substance for character development outside his original family/show.
wowj99 As a huge fan of Family Guy and American Dad, I am a huge fan of Seth Macfarlane's shows. I especially adore American Dad, (I own just about every season of it!) As a major fan being a young kid, (5 years ago) I gave TCS a shot. I was expecting it to be really random, funny, interesting, and creative with it's plot and story line. As I am in to about 20 minutes into the show, I just can't seem to really get into it. I have also watched about 6 or 7 episodes after that one (which was a long time ago, I haven't watched this show in a few years, but it's ended anyway). The characters aren't very interesting. All of Cleveland's family and friends are just so boring! I think Tim the Bear is somewhat interesting, (It's crazy having a couple of bears right next door to you, they were creative with them), along with Rallo, but that is it. This show doesn't really seem to have a "structure" at all. The plots just always fall flat, even more than Family Guy. It's just a cheap spin off of Family Guy. It just took Family Guy's "humor" and made it into its own show thinking it would be a hit, but in fact it falls far below in a lot of things.
carltonjerome This show sucks. Get the f*** off the air. I guess enough people like this bs. Oh well. This show is stupid, but apparently it's a reflection of the "Black" community seen through the directors/producers eyes'. I hate it. Just super corny. People love making money these days at the cost of their s***ty views of society. Jokes aren't funny...Not sure where the producer gets his material.
