The Beautiful Life: TBL Audience Reviews

Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Helllins It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Bea Swanson This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
down_IV I had the pleasure of watching the first episode of TBL with my girlfriend, and the show was so annoying that I simply need to post a review.First let's have a look at the plot: it's fashion week and Raina Marinelli, an aspiring model to whom I will refer to as "All American Cute Girl (AACG)", rises instantly to fame because she wears some special dress. This doesn't amuse Sonja Stone, because she was supposed to wear it, which means drama on the horizon! Sonja is apparently a supermodel, who returns to the fashion world after a "mysterious" disappearance. Which is of course complete crap, because how can a supermodel disappear in a world where everybody has a camera phone? Also in New York is Chris Andrews, Mister "All American Cute Boy (AACB)" who is discovered by a talent agent. Of course AACB is a farm boy from Iowa, with a very slender build no chest hair and hawt abz. Which is of course the look of all the farm boys from the Bible Belt.AACG and AACB meet by "accident" and they immediately start to hang out together... watch out it's love! AACG introduces AACB to the biiiiig city, because it's so big and impressive and dark and dangerous and not at all like Iowa. She helps him with the first step in the mysterious and frightening world of "looking good on photos". Of course the other male models are all mean to AACB, because he's cute. Too cute to be straight as my girlfriend said, which now still leaves a blank expression on my face when I think about it. Their mean behavior is completely logic, since it is very unusual for a bunch of young, apparently attractive (they are models after all) guys living in a top notch apartment in New York to have fun.I could go on and on, but I hope that you see that they story is overflowed with clichés. The camera work is bad, the music is the usual 08/15 you hear on any other "hip" chick show. The people are trashy, they wear trashy clothes and live in a trashy world. The show got canceled after only two episodes, which is great news for me because I don't have to watch it anymore. But it simply amazes me how it could get on the air in the first place. It has nothing to with SATC or GG, which in my opinion aren't great shows as well, but at least they are well done when it comes to story writing, camera work and editing.
jan barlie A LOT LIKE GG!!! The new show about models, model wannabes, model has beens and model directors...basically about people who breathe & live for fashion...boyfriends, girlfriends, intrigues, cheating, fighting...you got it all....maybe a few moments of bad acting but i think that fact can be overlooked considering the whole show stands on the ground of people who are young, a bit unexperienced..but overall if you watch it believe you won't demand your 45 minutes of your life back....that i assure you... rate it, comment it...me? i liked it...wanted to see more but the show was canceled...for everyone who did like it let's put it back in filming....I WANNA SEE THE END OF THE SEASON!!!
gorgeousara2 this has got to be the dumbest show I'V ever seen! the Camera work is horrible, the storyline is stupid, so what's the point? I'm not surprised at all that they canceled TBL after airing 2 episodes, the really sad part is that "Sara Paxton", poor girl, thought this was finally her first break in months, when will that pathetic trash realize she'll never be as good as THE ONE AND ONLY Hilary Duff ... so sad... and what about the so called "Mischa Barton", that name has so much dust on it, unless of course we bring her up for drug issues and REHAB, she's even more pathetic then Sara Paxton... she should'V stayed in O.C, but No .. she thought she was too good to act in it anymore and look where her arrogance got her; making a crappy show with crappy actors ... she really fell right on her ass! P.S; I hate this show!
niels-39 From the look of the new teen soap-opera, TBL looks like a hit. But sometimes a success with a wide audience has to be on the cost of good taste, which is the case here. The pilot episode takes place in NYC. Farmboy Chris from Ohio is enjoying his last days of the holiday, when he is accidentally spotted by a modeling agent, Simon. And throughout the rest of the episode Chris rams himself into more than enough drama, considered it only is supposed to show the first 42 hours of his modeling career. From the agency, to the photo-shoot, to the model-house, to the party. This is basically the over-the-top drama from 'Americas Next Top Model' fusioned with the glamour of the hit show 'Gossip Girl' and on top of all this there is a bit of bad social realism (Drugs etc.).But even though the first episodes' storyline is poorly written and most of the camera-work is very amateur, it somehow works. The young cast of the show saves it (especially Sarah Paxton as Raina). They make all of the trashy drama in some way believable. Because they are trashy actors portraying trashy people in a trashy world.I hope we, in the next few weeks, will see that this show weren't a waste of our time and CW's money. But i doubt that.UPDATE: Apparently the show was a waste of our time and CW's money. The show has now been cancelled. I'm not the least surprised.
