Intense, gripping, stylish and poignant

It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
Twilightfa
Watch something else. There are very few redeeming qualities to this film.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

I know this is supposed to be a 'fluff' piece of TV police procedural action program but, this is the worse show of any shows that I've ever seen in the past that were in the same category. I cannot stand the female actor-turned-PI. Terrible actress. Although she's actually 37 years old in real life, on this show, she's like an 'any age'- year old, obnoxious, annoying, self-centered, over-bearing child. Like a fly that you have to keep swatting away. Every time she opens her mouth (spewing out the usual cliches), I cringe. NOTHING like Castle or Bones. At least their 'side kicks' were intelligent/smart and had a maturity about themselves that made the chemistry between the 2 leads palatable (Bones & Booth, Beckett & Castle, etc.). I'd rather see a show with the same PI (Ciprian/Valetik) with the lady Detective Christine as the leads and that flighty , air-head (Bilson/Swift) as his receptionist or the medical examiner's assistant, or anything else - not the lead. Bilson's acting is forced and over the top. Not funny. Her 'comic timing' is off. His is OK. To me, it would be nice if there were spin-off(s) from Castle and/or Bones that will draw attention from this show so that it will fade into the sunset. American TV executives need to take lessons from Canadian and British shows like this one so that they can gain the necessary knowledge regarding how such shows SHOULD be created and shown. This show is pitiful. Or just show programs from past years (1980's, 1990's early 2000's) in this time slot, if you can't do better than this. I know it's not suppose to be a serious show, but it's not supposed to be a STUPID one either.

If you want deep meaning go elsewhere, but if you want a will they/ won't they private eye show, this is right up there with Private Eyes. It reminds me of Remington Steele in the reverse; a struggling agency takes on a media darling to up the client base.It is like cotton candy on a summer evening. Just enjoy it.

Pay no attention to the Siskel & Ebert mini-me wannabes that have written extremely negative reviews of this show. These are people who think they the smartest person in the room, but have their heads shoved so far up their backsides that their two operating brain cells do reign supreme in that dank environment. This is a very entertaining and light-hearted show. If you want an angst ridden, depressing crime show, Criminal Minds is still around. But this is a show created by the same team that brought us Castle, and it shows. It's not as polished yet, but Castle was a little shaky in its early days, also.Rachel Bilson shines with her bubbly comic personality, as usual. Eddie Cibrian is new to me, but their chemistry works well together. The stories are good, but could be better. About standard fare for a summer replacement.I'm hoping this show gets renewed, but I'm not too hopeful. Channing Dungey, the President of ABC is one of the stupidest executives in any business in the history of the world. She has cancelled so many promising shows, and proves she doesn't know what she's doing.
