Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
SanEat A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
TranceMusic32 I saw the whole thing as 1 hour and 45 minute movie. I getting more Stargate stories. Sure this has many B rate moments, but I was entertained and happy to see more Startgate. I have seen many reviews about it being short and not well made. Well, I purchased my video on iTunes as whole movie, not in short clips. I think viewing it as a movie made it much better. I hope they keep making more Stargate series or movies. I am a fan of the story, not a critic to somebody's imagination.
Karim Al-Sharif This has got to be the worst production, acting, and directing I have ever seen!I am a huge fan of the original film and star gate sg1 series. Star gate origins is an insult to the movie and the fans. The set, costumes, and make up looks like it's a a group of people having a costume party. The bad acting and directing is like a group of high school project with their teachers with a handy cam. Total waste of time!!
levdem I was hyped when i started to watch the first episode yes. After the first two episodes i realised that this is a low budget movie. Not for the theatres. BUT. Actually a really liked that it was different. The actors were good the playing was also good. It was based on a "lighter" script. The actors were NOT amateurish as they played their role in that way with awereness. I liked the comic, i liked their gesture. I liked the two main actors. The casting was good. It was a light and short series in the Stargate universe. If they get more and i mean More Money they can create bigger of course. But it is not the fault of the director. I think the core fans are those who gave low scores and negative reviews. But it was something new something different. To the wide auidence. Not for fans only. I enjoyed all the episodes. Hope get a second season wiith higher budget. Tahnks to the people who were behind Stargate Origins.
jmstettner-83145 I read the Star Wars comics version of the movie when it first hit the stands for 30 cents and stood in line to see the movie opening day. Every Star Wars movie after RotJ has been awful, except the Solo movie, which was actually a Star Wars movie. I saw the first Star Trek movie when it was released. I saw Jaws in the theater, what a summer that was. My Doctor is Tom Baker, the new stuff is tripe. I offer these as bona fides to give you a sense of my age which may give you an idea of my values. I am a fan, not a fanatic or fanboy, a Trekker, not a Trekkie.I saw Stargate in the theaters. I watched all the series, some more than once. They were good shows, some were great. Atlantis and Universe were weak but entertaining. Stargate Origins is a good show. Yes, the acting is oddly amateurish and there were goofs with 1920s-30s costuming and gear, but the story and characterizations and lore were spot on. If you enjoy sci fi and/or Stargate, this series (really just a short movie in installments) should please you.
