Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

I loved to see the skate work! Classic! Anyone who doesn't like this just doesn't like skateboarders or skateboarding.I loved the characters and loved the stunts. I liked how the characters grew. Josh was more of a bad boy at first and then his relationship with his dad started to improve.I loved it that they could have a successful independent skate store when so much of the real world is being taken over by Walmart and other soul-less giants. I enjoyed watching Josh work out his drug problem and the episode about the map to the ultimate skateboard site was another of my favorites. I wish I could get the whole season on DVD. Please bring it out soon!

"SK8" often uses a unique visual style that effectively conveys a spirit of youth and a sense of motion. The plots (which include running out of free areas to skate, the ups and downs of shop business, projects centered around the activity, etc.) are usually written in an entertaining enough fashion, with humorous, catchy dialogue that tends to avoid the overly obnoxious route.Plot isn't the only focus of course. The way the issues at hand affect friendships and personal character is also covered, with subtle (which are often the best kind) hints of romance possibly thrown in as well.Overall, "SK8" doesn't try to be anything but a somewhat different, entertaining kind of show. That's what it is. No more--and no less.

Well this show has been on for maybe 4 weeks, we've seen 3 episodes (and 1 repeat!). It most likely got cancelled...with good reason. This show had the worst storylines, which would revolve around their (not bad) skateboarding techniques. But really, how far can you get on skateboarding plots. And foremost, the detail that really was annoying was that camera. Geez NBC, we hate to admit but their sitcoms were better.
