Property Brothers Audience Reviews

Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Protraph Lack of good storyline.
Solidrariol Am I Missing Something?
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
slfisher70 This show is the poorest example of re-use re-purpose anything. Please do not have them do a historical home or it will end up with laminate floor their favorite and all the character will be torn out of the house. It seems like they ALWAYS have BIG surprises that cost the homeowners a chunk of change. I am not sure who they use for home inspections but they may want to find someone new. I would be mad if I bought a home and found out I need all new plumbing and or electrical. The last thing I would pay for is laminate floor in a "high end" up grade. Just a waste of time. THe new homeowners take them for their word. $3000-5000 for a header in a room. Who the heck are they using? Are they using solid steel headers for large spans? I know they custom order furniture which cost mega bucks and they could allow the homeowners more involvement in the decor side. stopped watching when they tore out an entire first floor of original hardwood floor on a period craftsman BECUZ they removed one wall and would have to find floor to match the small area they took out. Ripped it all out and put in laminate. What idiots allow them to some of the things. Tear out solid wood cabinets for some of the cheap laminate crap they put in is a shame. The never talk about refacing a cabinet or painting cabinet to save on money. Rehab attic and fixer upper BETTER CHOICES!
djseven12 I liked the show at first but I then started watching it more often. I was beginning to think that the couples were actors because I thought no buyer could be this unprepared to buy a house or not ask the right questions, like can I see the furnace, or electric box or pipes in the plumbing etc. Do they look at the roof,no. And then they offer an amount on some properties without an inspection. Drew should never allow this to happen. So they are not actors, probably one of hundreds of couples lining up to be on a show. They do show them a dream home for hundreds of thousand dollar over their budget. Then the dumps they show them are way overpriced. disgusting curb appeal, half the size of the dream home. They show pretty much the whole house to be renovated, but they don't show the gross bedrooms & bathrooms after they renovate. So they have to live in that house with that horrible mess? The twins pretty much rush them into buying a house between two, one that Drew or Jonathon pretty much picks for them as one of their choices. They bind them into a corner. I've never seen Drew show them any paperwork, like comps., work permits, or the mortgage. They should also ALWAYS have a contingency fund of about say $20,000 so to not max out their budget on the house and part of the renovations. Then they wouldn't ever have to find money to change the plans. I am writing this today because I tuned in after about a year of not watching this show...nothing has changed. Drew is still the fast talker & Jonathon is still the illusionist, ( from reading his bio he does this as an act in Las Vegas). They still only do up to 4 rooms & they still say now you have your dream "home". I would have hi-tailed it out the door when they showed me the overpriced real Dream Home. Any normal, somewhat smart person or couple should have 1. seen the previous shows, 2. know from the entrance of a 3,000 to 4,000 sq. ft. home would have been way out of the budget from the get go... Can't watch this farce anymore. The guys are great entertainers and probably good at their trades but, come on...Really!!!!
gailipoo I find this show very entertaining. I am not a DIY person at all, but enjoy seeing what the Brothers do and the banter between them. Very smart of them to come up with idea of joining forces to help people find their perfect homes or help create them. They are very talented indeed and have produced some beautiful results. Hopefully people that tune in are learning from their expert advice and ending up with stunning rooms. I hope they continue to make this show for a few more years yet. I am thoroughly enjoying watching them entertain/remodel/house hunt with people. They clearly have good business instincts and it is working for them.
mfalcon1-1 love the show. the vision and the work. everyone does a great job!! it seems that they are showing less of the reno work lately~ which was also interesting. oh yeah, i agree , they are cute, sometimes annoying~so its good that they are cute (and savy)! i would like to see why certain design features were incorporated, particularly when it was not budget or layout related, especially when the owners did not specify. an example would be color choices for cabinets ,counter tops, textures for fireplace faces and flooring. finally, jonathan needs not to be so annoyed when people change their minds or add things. often he finds unforeseen obstacles (that should have been expected) and he expects the owners to understand and give up some of the design features. it goes both ways. unless jonathan is just being dramatic.... again.
