Planet Earth Audience Reviews

Peereddi I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.
Micah Lloyd Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
jamariana What do I consider when I rate an episode of "Planet Earth"? The narration (David Attenborough may as well be God), the quality of the cinematography or scenery captured (11/10), the musical composition that gives John Williams a run for his money, or the truly intriguing glimpses into the lives of other animals? If so, "Planet Earth" is pure magic on all fronts. I'm pretty sure I cried during the first episode. I love watching "Planet Earth". I've seen the series maybe half a dozen times from start to finish. I especially love watching it in a library when everyone else is supposed to be studying because at least then people consider it to be entertainment, when otherwise they might ask me why I watch a nature documentary series in my free time (certainly not the sentiment in the United Kingdom, where we religiously watch Attenborough's nature shows, but elsewhere I have encountered inquisition over my watching of documentary programs). Anyway, the show is amazing. Truly. I have only great things to say about the show as a whole, so watch it.
areatw If there is one documentary series that everybody should watch then this has to be it. I purchased the DVD box set of 'Planet Earth' when it was first released and recently revisited it. It still hasn't lost its ability to amaze and captivate.I don't feel the need to write a lengthy review because the series speaks for itself. 'Planet Earth' is simply stunning. Every episode is a masterpiece and David Attenborough's typically engaging narration is the icing on the cake. I could watch this series over and over and never get bored of it.A magical look at the planet in which we live. 'Planet Earth' is, in my opinion, the best documentary ever made.
grande_illusion If there is a series which has exploited the technology of TV and visual media to it's max then this is it. The visual delight can only be experienced. You are left with a sense of responsibility for the planet and you get a deep sense what it means to destroy this beautiful creation of nature. While each episode is just a brief introduction to each element of nature, it shows the depth of beauty and power of nature in shaping each of these elements. Richard Attenborough voice over has the right timbre for such a beautiful kaleidoscope of nature. There may be other films which capture many other features of nature, but to weave it into a story is what this film has done best. This series should be a must see, especially for high school kids and teachers of natural science.
rileyedwardcowan Most people spend the whole day in their house, in their office building, and in their car. We rarely look outside to see how beautiful the world really is. Planet Earth explores all the amazing things in nature that we don't have time to see for ourselves. It takes you on a journey from deep in the ocean, to the top of mountains. You see things you couldn't have imagined to exist. There are fish that light up like glow sticks and worms that make a cave's ceiling look like the night sky. Unless you explore the world yourself and actually see this kind of stuff in person, you don't want to miss this amazing series. This isn't one of your average nature shows that you fall asleep to, this is real stuff happening on Earth right now and it will amaze you like nothing else has before.
