Info

Paddington Bear is a series of British animated shorts based on the Paddington Bear book series by Michael Bond produced by FilmFair. This was the first television series based on the popular children's book Paddington Bear. In the United States it was usually shown on pay television as filler in between programs. Its narrator was actor Michael Hordern. It was one of the few television programmes to combine a puppet show with cartoon - Paddington himself was a puppet, but other characters in the series were depicted as cartoon characters. The series has a very distinctive art style. Paddington himself is a stop-motion animated puppet who moves within a 3-dimensional space and interacts with 2-dimensional animated drawings of the human characters, buildings, etc. The series, along with all other FilmFair productions is currently owned by DHX Media of Canada.

Paddington Bear Audience Reviews

Maidgethma Wonderfully offbeat film!
Interesteg What makes it different from others?
Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
TheLittleSongbird I do admit I have a thing for nostalgia, and I loved Paddington when I was a kid. At 18, I still love it now, it is absolutely wonderful. And I agree with the previous reviewer, it is better than the children's shows of today, which are either bad or once good shows now mediocre. I didn't feel there was a wasted moment watching Paddington, it was whimsical, charming and funny. I always loved the characters, cute and endearing Paddington, Mr and Mrs Brown and the hilarious Mr.Curry("BEAR!"). The look of the series is superb, and the music is excellent. I also loved the story lines and Paddington's situations and the narration by the wonderful Michael Hordern. There are so many things to like about Paddington, it is a wonderful show. 10/10 Bethany Cox
thekats1967 I remember as a kid watching this when it used to air on the show "Pinwheel." I loved each of the adventures Paddington Bear used get into, and the stop-action animation (think Gumby) made this show fun to watch! I hope children of today will get to experience this wonderful show...its a heck of a lot better then what kids are exposed to today.
