In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

This show started out pretty well. We open by meeting Asa Farrell about to take his life because he can't handle the real world without his clan. He then joins back with his family, only to find out that the Farrells are trying to be evicted by the police due to the coal found in the mountain. Plot isn't bad, actually quite creative. But if it weren't for their silly and comical "rituals" and "language," then the show would be pretty intense and suspenseful. I enjoyed watching season 1 for the most part. It was fun, interesting, shocking, and it made me want to watch more. But, I should've been careful for what I wished for. Season 2 comes around and I have never been more disappointed in a show than any other I've ever seen. It lost all direction of the plot, the script writing was lazy, the action scenes were unbearably unrealistic, and the whole thing became a ******* soap opera that depleted my patience and all interest in this show. And don't even get me started on how laughable everyone's "Kentucky accent" is. My vote is 4/10 simply because of the first season and how it brought something fresh to the table, but never held it's part in the second season.

This show is completely different than anything that has been on TV. Every episode is action packed and exciting. Love it's a mix of drama and can make you laugh at times, especially Wade. It's a mix of Sons of Anarchy, Mad Max & Justified on the mountain. My family & friends loves it! Highly recommend!!!

Outsiders is the best TV series out there, period. It has a story line that pulls you in from the very beginning. The characters ARE believable, as is the plot. It is fantasy. It is reality. It IS America today. Just look at the news. There is the central story, ripped from today's headlines. There is the story of the the clan, the Farrells. Then there are the stories of individual characters, both clan and townie. Love and hatred, triumph and failure, hope and despair. And Shay Mountain. The heart of it all. The magic and power of the Myr. The interaction between the townies and the Farrells fascinates me the most and is becoming the most interesting and appealing aspect of Outsiders. I am rooting for each and every one to find the answers to their questions and fulfillment in their relationships. I cannot get enough of this show. The hour flies by so quickly. And I hope and pray that we soon hear of its renewal for Season 3. So much more to tell....
