I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

Go in cold, and you're likely to emerge with your blood boiling. This has to be seen to be believed.

This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

I started watching this show from day one, but I have never read any of the comics or graphic novels. The show is a different take for the Horror genre and the shows darkness really helps Outcast stand out from the other shows currently out on TV. Season 1 was Great though Season 2 has a few bumps along the way, but season 2 is still worth watching. I don't know why Season 2 took so long to debut in the U.S. I hope the delay doesn't hurt viewership ratings on Cinemax. Hopefully season 3 can start production in the latter half of 2018 or 2019. I would recommend this show for anyone who likes the horror/graphic novel genre and doesn't want to be bothered by commercials or cut scenes b/c they may be too intense or bloody for the weak at heart. The only drawback is I would strongly recommend watching this show from the beginning. If you are a new Fan Enjoy the show and keep Kickass Outcast!

I found this via the Recommended For You list on my Netflix, possibly because I watched The Walking Dead, and Outcast comes from the same writer. It had me hooked from the start, and in a better way than TWD.Outcast features one of the creepiest soundtracks I've heard in some time, and is situated (in cinematographic terms) firmly in the realm of the southern Gothic. The cast features no "big names", which makes for a welcome change and adds some realism to proceedings. "Gritty" is one word that could describe it. "Chilling" and "riveting" ate others. The only actor I recognised was the Reverend, and nearly didn't recognise him, as he is English but putting on an impressive southern US accent. Also worth mentioning are some star performances from the junior cast members, which serve to make viewing pretty harrowing too.In response to some comments here claiming Outcast is "pro-Satanic propaganda", I would say see for yourself, and you'll realise how idiotic that statement is. In Outcast, the concept of demonic possession is simply a metaphor for domestic abuse, whether within the spousal unit, or from parent to child. In that sense, I think it's quite a clever portrayal of a widespread but rarely discussed social problem.

this was a pretty good series story wise with amazing special effects you don't expect from a fox series the concept was a little out of the box which is pretty dope considering most of all horror and thriller based show nowadays are cop shows ex: Lucifer which sucks but this is pretty left field and the first episode will make you consider watching the whole season because it is addictive overall I rate this series was pretty good it had a better start than kirkman's other show the walking dead

The actors are perfect, script's perfect what more can I say but well done. This is my first review, this show actually made me drop this crap. The exorcist TV series should have been like this,I think I'll d stop watching the exorcist, cos they don't hit the nail on the head like the way the outcast has done.I'm truly impressed despite the low voting counts I'm giving it a 10/10.Wren Schmitt actually did a good job, although the main actor in the show kid of sucks but I guess that's how the writers want it.Can't wait for another season,I've been seeing the show around but I just decide not to tune in.You might never no what's good till you try it.
