Did you people see the same film I saw?

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

I love all the hand-wringing - not in the show, but in these reviews. 'The gall of these people, changing the sacred text handed down to us by the one true Agatha!!' One guy goes on about how we'd never allow this sort of hanky panky with Shakespeare. I shudder to think of his reaction if he knew that Shakespeare has the honor (aye, honor) of being the most mutilated author of all time.
This is a taut thriller, beautifully acted and shot. It's plot devices are clever without ever getting too clever. Some might chomp at the pace at times, but I think it varies its pacing well. In all, very good.

Before you start watching this, you should know that the story has been rewritten, it's not exactly like the one in the book. Now that that's out of the way, without complaining about the fact that this wasn't an adaptation as much as it was a rewrite, I'm just going to say what I thought about it as a movie not as a story. The actors did their best, there weren't any moments when I found the acting to be questionable. They had depth, were three-dimensional and just made the story interesting. I've got nothing bad to say about the actors or the characters. The plot was intriguing, but an exciting story is expected from an Agatha Christie adaptation. It had depth, it definitely keeps you on your toes and again, nothing bad to say about that. The directing wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. It is a bit excusable, considering there was quite a wide variety of scenery and an intriguing plot, so it didn't need some amazing directing, although as I have previously said, it could have been better. Summing up, it's a great mini-series to watch, I definitely recommend it. You shouldn't watch it if you expect the story to be exactly like Christie's book. I didn't really mind that, it felt like a gust of fresh air. I'm actually giving it a 8.5/10.

I thought this was terrible. The show was boring and slow moving and the ending was quite predictable and unsatisfying. I also caught a couple of mistakes (bright red blood after 18 months oxidizing, really?) and thought some of it didn't make much sense. Just had to write a review, because I wish I had known how bad it was before spending 3 hours of my life watching this show...

The murderer is changed and hence the whole plot falls apart. So many details were changed from the original book that it was unrecognisable . Disappointing and confusing viewing if you have read the book.
As a stand alone murder mystery this was entertaining but I was too confused by the number of differences between the book and tv drama it spoilt my viewing experience. Agatha must be turning in her grave
