If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

This show teaches absolutely nothing. Every other character seems to be extremely dumbed down, and in every possible situation nella always gets praise. Nobody else ever does anything but panic and fail at task, and even if they do well nella ALWAYS WILL WIN OR GET THE ATTENTION. At least other shows have teamwork and character development but even when there's teamwork in this show, only nella gets thanks and praise for it. This show basically just shows you how to rely on a single person for everything.

I love this animated TV series so much. It indeed have good lessons in every episodes. Nella is a lovable character. It got pretty close to Disney's fairy tales and yes Nickelodeon did well. But the world doesn't seems to look big. Kids can learn about kindness, home rules, friendship, team work etc. Maybe it's a kid's show but a adult can enjoy it without getting bored.

I feel as if the show is pandering to the Tumblr crowd, due to the fact that the main character is a biracial girl. Heck, the show was an instant hit on Tumblr days after it premiered! I actually used to hate this show, but then I admittedly jumped on the bandwagon for liking this little cartoon. The animation is Gorgeous, the morals are good, the role models are good, and the songs are decent, but I can't get over the fact that the main character, Nella is a Mary-Sue, which means she is way too perfect and lacks flaws. Heck, even the commercial says she is PICTURE PERFECT. Plus, she is way too kind, strong, and always gets to win and be the hero. But at least she's not as Sueish as Sofia the First, i hate that crappy cartoon......If you want to make a good, likable character, at least give them flaws that kids can relate to. UPDATE: I watched more episodes, and Nella is shown to make mistakes, which earns the show more admiration and an extra star. Also, it gets one less star, because of the plots and dialogue. As one user pointed out in their review on Common Sense Media, the show promotes public shaming due to the fact that the villagers, being complete idiots, bully a socially inept dragon with bad breath. Plus, I hate how the villagers are so idiotic and dumb and can't even defend themselves from a fly and depend on some 8 year old to solve their problems. But about the dragon bully thing, that only lasted one episode, and the rest of the episodes have alright morals for kids. Of course, people who praise the show tend to overlook the show's obvious flaws. The writers need to fix Nella's personality, as well as the villagers, and then I can officially love this show. All in all, this show is good for younger viewers, but just keep them away from the dragon bully episode, and the episodes where the villagers act like imbeciles.
