The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

***This review contains spoilers***The writers don't seem to have put much thought into the story. It seems as if it was written to fail. If the story was written to be based on many seasons instead of just one season or a few episodes in this matter. Than it would have succeeded. I feel as if even the writers knew it would fail and be cancelled so no effort went into the story line. I feel the actresses and actors knew the same, that it would be cancelled. Here is why this story was set to fail:1.) We found out Dash was a precog right away. The writers didn't need to tell us this. They could have used this to build the suspense and story line that we later on in season 1 could have discovered on our own.2.) We were told so many times who the precogs were that it defeated the actual show. I feel as if the show was suppose to be about the discovery of the precogs, the hiding of there identity's. But then we are told countless times who they are. What would be the point of this TV show then? Hence there is none.3.) Every show ended the same way and followed the same path. So it got boring right away. The writers killed it. It's like they used the same story every episode but changed the people to a certain extent. There was little to no movement or excitement in the show until later episodes. But even though they added some excitement, every show still followed the same catch the guy at the very last second theme. 4.) There could be no successful second season after season 1. We knew who the precogs were, they went into the milk bath, they stopped a terrorist attack, everyone important on the show knew who the precogs were. There was no more relationship between the main character and the precogs. etc..., etc...., etc..... It just died a horrible death. There was no way to put life into this TV show. Cancelled it was, as it should have been. Although it could have been a very enjoyable TV show if more effort was put into it.

Minority Report is a TV show not the movie if you want to watch the movie then do so.This is also not a sequel to the movie. So what if its a police procedural,as long as they are police these shows will be made.I liked it, the actors they chose play their parts well and are believable. These are good actors, the characters are solid.I have worked with people in real life who are the complete opposite of me so this does happen. I like this series, whether its renewed or canceled does not take away from being a great show. Not every show has to have deep meaning and I like shows like that but I also enjoy being entertained. A good show with good actors, watch it.

When I heard that they were making an adaptation for Cruise's 2002 Science fiction, I was hyped, Then I heard that Fox was producing, And suddenly I had mixed feelings, Although Fox is known for making great science fiction, They do tend to cut the show before it gets to take off. E.g. Firefly, Almost Human etc.Law Enforcement getting help from civilians or even criminals seems to be quite the trend in TV shows these day e.g. Limitless,Blindspot,The Mentalist, The Blacklist etc. As the pattern continues with this series, As one of the three PreCogs is hidden amongst civilians trying to prevent crimes from occurring, however without his siblings, There is only so much he can do, As he is only one piece of the puzzle and it doesn't seem to be enough. Although this is produced by some serious names including Spielberg, It is a fairly weak adaptation, Especially when compared to the movie.Grade: F

I gave it my best shot. I really liked the movie and I was at first intrigued by the possibility of a series. I thought I could grow used to the direction the series was taking with the freedom of the cogs. Being a tech person, I also liked the future technology. After 4 episodes, I couldn't see the plot holding my interest. The acting is mediocre at best. I also think they are cramming "diversity" down or throats by having the four lead characters being African American, Asian, Hispanic and Caucasian. I still thought I could get used to the story lines and grow accustomed to the characters until they slapped a duffel bag full of money in front of us with Obama's face on it. That was overboard. I don't plan on continuing watching it.
