Marco Polo Audience Reviews

Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
koupas-14479 Excellent,captivating..can't believe they cancel it..I think marketing on this serries was very bad..I saw it by accident..never heard it before..great piece of work...
ukazakov Marco Polo in one of the latest, and a most expensive Netflix TV show, that tells us about an Italian traveler of 12th century. 2 seasons overall cost was 200 million dollars, its aqual to Game of thrones series. I decided to see it, when second season had already finished, and everyone were discussing the decision on Netflix company about closing the TV show. I thought that maybe it was not good enough, and that's the reason, but I was wrong. This TV show is about a Mongolian empire, by the way one of the biggest in the world, in times of Chengishan death. The are not so many movies of TV shows about Mongilian culture, so in was automatically at least interesting. It can be said that it looks like Game of thrones, but I don't think so in conclusion. Marco Polo is more serious and historical true TV show, which can show us the most important historical events of Mongolian epire and very famost Italian traveler, who travelled throw Mongolia and became a very valuable friend of empirator. One of things, that I really like about the TV show, is how beautiful and expensive it looks. It really can be compared with Game of thrones, and lovers of big budgets and epic battles can be satisfied for sure. Another great thing Is a cast. It looks amazing, even without number one stars in it, everyone plays very realistic. Also the plot is fantastic, and the only disappointing thig is that its not fiinished because on Netflix decision In conclusion I can say that of will definitely like this TV show, if you like Game of throne, kung fu, or epic historical dramas. Don't listen to critics that critisize it unfairly. My advice is to try and evaluate this great show by yourself
tchui-69397 I will watch most things that bring attention to the remarkable history of the Chinese civilization and culture. There are many things about this show that are great, the action, the costumes, and Kublai Khan. Khan is by far the most entertaining part of the show. Simply put, I'm not the biggest fan of Marco Polo, I know the production team seemed to want to make him more of an observer rather than a main character, probably for reasons surrounding cultural appropriation? White Savior complex? I don't know. Whatever it is, it seems like they chose to create a character that is not stealing the show away from the Chinese (and he MOST CERTAINLY DOES NOT), but he is kind of meh. I don't care about Marco Polo at all. I respect what this show has done, but it's a little too much walking on eggshells for the Marco Polo character. They simply didn't put the same time and attention to detail to his character as they do everything else, which is a shame. Or maybe they did and that's the point. He's supposed to be not as cool as the Chinese characters.
Timo Reichert One year ago I watched the first episode of Marco Polo but stopped because it seemed quite boring. I re-watched it one week ago again and continued to binge watch the following days. My girlfriend and I devoured it.Yes. The show has a slow start, but patience is a virtue. What comes after is perfect in its own way. Is it historically correct? Generally. Most of the main characters existed through out history. Does it make sense that everyone speaks English? Not really. But this is where art starts. If I wanted to watch a true representation of history - I'd choose a documentary - not a Drama! Watching Marco Polo won't give you a complete satisfaction since Netflix decided to cancel before it could finish the story. But as in life - the journey is the destination. Those 20 episodes are intense and displayed through beautiful art in visual design and sound.Maybe - if enough people take a leap of faith in watching Marco Polo - then maybe we will have the chance for the continuation of the story in the future. But until then - my life would be missing something. Even if it's just about those quotes by 100 Eyes.."Every legend must come to an end."
