A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
Walter Sloane
Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

I discovered LMOTP by accident while looking up Boyd Banks on IMDb. Because the show did not air in the U.S., I was lucky to find a dedicated you tuber who uploaded the new episodes each week. Being an American-Arab, I can see why many non-Arabs might find the show lame but being Arab myself, I was really able to identify with all the story lines week to week. Obviously, one is going to identify with their own culture closer than others. I would agree that many of the jokes may come off as being "corny", but at the end of the day, it really is a good, "clean", light hearted show. It probably would have been better received in the 70's or 80's. If you try not to take the show too seriously, I think you'll find a delightful little comedy. I think if more people understood Arab culture, do's & don't's, rules, etc. more people would appreciate the show. With many shows on TV today displaying so much "filth" as far as explicit sex and language, LMOTP always kept it clean and I appreciated that.

Little Mosque on the Prairie is not a good show, it's just really stupid and predictable stories with some of the worst acting I have ever seen. The worst are the leads and the worst one of all is the guy who plays the head of the Mosque, I think his name is Amaar and every line he delivers is painfully bad. He murders jokes the way someone who works at a chicken killing factory kills chickens. That is to say he is not funny at all.Not sure what else there is to say but this show was really just awfully bad.

Little Mosque on the Prairie is completely terrible. The acting is some of the worst I have ever seen in my life. The writing is so terrible it is almost as if someone is intentionally writing a bad show as a joke or maybe a parody of a bad show. The show is just stupid with predictable stories and even more predictable jokes that you know even before the characters say them. I hate this show so much it is baffling even to myself. The acting is what irks me the most because every single one of these characters is just putrid. I don't know how or why this show got put on TV but if there is any justice it will not be back again!

The first season was great with good timing and character development. So far it seems to me the second season is destroying what the first season created (only seen 4-5 shows of second season). The characters no longer seem consistent. Too often the writers go for a cheap and poorly delivered joke. Of course giving the quality of the writing it is hard to see how the characters could have delivered the lines well. I watch on purchased DVDs as it is not otherwise available in the USA. I am very hopeful that the third season is better but am reluctant to put my money to find out. The other reviews seem all over the place and based on the difference between the first and second seasons, I can see why.Ken HarstinePS:I bought the fourth season as a preview looked promising. Still very poorly done. Can't understand what happened. Same characters but now all wrong.
