Kaijudo: Clash of the Duel Masters Audience Reviews

Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Catherina If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Dana An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
Rectangular_businessman The original "Duel Masters" was terrible. A totally uninspired "Yugioh" rip-off that tried to cover its lack of originality with a horrible parody dub filled with bad jokes and shallow cultural references. This second attempt to adapt this card game into an animated series was much better in every single aspect. (Though considering how bad was its predecessor, I guess that was something quite easy to achieve.) Now, while this show wasn't exactly great, it showed a lot of potential, having an interesting setting and characters, with a neat art style that somewhat reminded me to the animation of "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes". Too bad it was cancelled before reaching reaching its full potential. I think it would have become one of the best series of its kind if the audience had given it a chance. If there is another "Duel Masters" cartoon, I hope it follows the serious style of "Kaijudo" and not the bad comedy (and bad CGI) of the original anime.
blackcat-39 HI, I really like the shows a lot I watch them on Monday at 3:30AM I do hope that they will put both Seasons on DVD real soon and I do wish they would put it back on at 5:00PM Monday thru Friday when it first came out instead of on that time in the morning please thank you. And I do hope they come out with a new Season soon too. It would be so cool to see some new shows real soon please. And again I do hope that they will come out both seasons on DVD real soon too. superkidinclovis I can say this much, its a very all around show, but beyond that, it could do with a lot of work.I have watched the source material this show was based off of and well...they copied and pasted the original anime storyline to this one and tried to throw its over creations and ideals of ho0w things work, but sadly it kinda failed. Now am I saying this is the worst thing to appear (well the secret Saturdays was terrible and much worse that thing) no, I'm not, in fact if you like this, watch it and enjoy it.I just cant watch this without thinking how they just slowly copied and pasted their work from the Duel Master anime and forced it into this story all together, plus the characters here, are basically the same characters in the original, just swap same roles and there you go.other than that....I just OK, not great but not terrible, so I recommend this to those who really like monsters and action.J Vera
fine_red_mist Do you like Pokémon? Digimon? Yu-Gi-Oh? How about Avatar: The Last Air Bender? If so, you will love this show. It is like they took all the best parts of all of these shows threw them in a blender. Kaijudo is an awesome show. It has it all, decent animation, good monster battles, characterization, a great story arc. The creatures are all really cool and creative. It has a great villain that WILL tick you off. It, also, has a great moral of respecting life and animals, as well as the value of friendship. Without spoiling the story, we have intrigue, betrayal, and some great plot twists. This show is up there with Avatar: The Last Air Bender and Teen Titans in terms of quality and if you are a fan of cartoons and creature battles, I highly recommend it. It, also, has a pretty neat card game tied in, which, is a re-imagining of the game Duel Masters. I tend to be very pessimistic about the cartoons of today, but this one stands out as being excellent and well worth watching. As a fan of cartoons, I am super duper glad to have found this show, as it is one of the best I have seen in many years.
