Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
Michelle Ridley The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
morrison-dylan-fan Talking to a family friend about TV shows he was after,I got told of a TV series I had vague memories of seeing ads for. Finding little info of the series online,I was happy to discover that a DVD seller had located Harry.View on the film:Screened during the last days of dial-up internet, the series now acts as a time capsule to "Lad Culture" of endless partying, a soundtrack filled with Britpop and clubbing chart-toppers,and all the lads offering a side order of cheeky chappy humour. Done before TV channels realised they could save cash by following people clubbing in British towns, the makes take a satirical jab at the " Ibiza Uncovered"/mates going on a booze and partying holiday,as the up for anything holiday reps find the fun can't stop when they want. For the first eps of the two-season run, the writers, (unlike most British shows, this has a dozen people behind the scripts) play on the raunchy sex Comedy side of the boat, with the guests and reps spending more time naked in the bedroom than sunbathing on the beach.Spanning 28 eps, the writers take advantage of the 50 min run-time by taking the show into an incredibly surreal,off-beat direction by use of "New Age" Cosmic Bob (played by a great Steve North) allowing the writers to explore the darkness of the club rep scene with drug runs, blackmail and even murder, that are blended in season 1 with a sweet romance between Robbie Cooper and Sinjata Kapoor (played by a very good Charlie Kemp and Pooja Shah.)Flaunting the tanned and toned fit ladies (and the guys) in the softcore sex scenes, the various directors give the clubbing scenes (the show was shot in Almunecar) a glowing sun-set appearance. Dancing to the dark trance tunes on the island, the directors stylishly use bursts of slow-motion and fragmented editing to zoom in on Bob's New Age images that get Harry on the boat.
