Majorthebys Charming and brutal
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Ortiz Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Zen-2-Zen What's the point of having a superb actress if you are going to tie her hands every step of the way with sloppy production and "directors" that couldn't care less about anything beyond collecting their paychecks ? She can save N ridiculous screenplay blunders but she can't save the whole show - unless they let her produce and direct as well :-)))))Seriously - very simple example - you can't "have" a blonde with heavy black eyebrows. It's a visual dagger in viewer's eyes. Yeah it takes some time and some thinking but a "small detail" like that had to be on the table from the day one - and then there would be Emmy's. There's quite a number of completely ridiculous production / "direction" misses like that. You don't get the next Tatiana Maslany if you don't do your homework on the production and direction side of the equation. Better give Inbar Lavi to do a monodrama if production really has to be so incompetent. She can do it - just give her some props :-) And not to leave it just on her shoulders - Rachel Skarsten did superb miniature - again to no avial when faced with incompetent production.
robodrolet This show is very shallow and just not good. The characters are not likable. The acting isn't very good. The jokes are just not funny at all. None of the characters or stories are believable or good. It is basically one below average TV movie's worth of plot stretched out over a whole season. Lame show. Terrible writing.
Shawn The many plot holes and eye-rolling unlikely scenarios aside, this is solid entertainment with good, surprisingly funny, acting and a beautiful cast you can't take your eyes off. Worth watching.
mhrist Hi everyone, I really really enjoyed the first season. Granted, as some have said in their reviews, there are some plotholes... however the show has so much heart in it that i pretty much didn't notice/mind. The characters are really really fun, the dialog is hilarious, and there is scarcely a scene where you are not either balling on the floor or tense as hell. Ezra, Jules, and Richarch are so funny together, and Maddie is just amazing. There are some reviwers that compare this show to other con shows such as sneaky pete and good behavior but I think this one pretty much gives them at least a very good fight. I also think this is very different than those two since good behavior is a very dark drama, and sneaky pete while a dark comedy is very different. I can't really say sneaky pete is even a con show per se since it is more about a smart cheater in a very different setting. personally i can relate more to this since it is set in a big cities and the things the protagonists go thru are a lot more worldly and human. all in all if you want to laugh your butt off i highly recommend it.other shows i've enjoyed like this one would be iZombie, Supernatural and Lucifer... and I know those might seem like very different genres but there is a common thread between all three - the people making them are having a lot of fun and i just can't help but have fun watching them.
