House of Cards Audience Reviews

CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
nelsongage House of Cards is a better political show and probably the best show on Netflix! Even know it has a very liberal story it is still a good show. Kevin Spacey pulls off a convincing act. I'm not looking forward to the season with just Robin Write. House of cards is a MUST WATCH!
guillaumesoigneux I hope a good end for this great tv show !!! David Fincher you're a genius, thank you !!!
mathmaniac ... but once I did, I found an engrossing well-acted and well-written drama. Ironically, what the viewer savors about the character that Spacey plays is just what I don't like about him. The smirking hint of evil that seems to lurk behind his smooth charm. This seems to be the point. Nice people, successful people, people who are good husbands and good students - can have an evil streak. I did see 'House of Cards' when it was a BBC production. This adaptation does it justice.
sizzzzlerz I loved the first 4 seasons but season 5 has been a bit of a trial to get through. Spacey chews up the scenery as he attempts to consolidate his power with his wife acting as his second. He tries to become so ridiculously evil, you can almost see him growing horns and fangs. Meanwhile, Claire, initially tries to distance herself from him before being seduced into his circle by being allowed to keep a lover in the White House and becoming VP. That, alone, is what soured me given how patently stupid that is. And Congress is so intimidated by Underwood, they don't push back. Now that Spacey has been fired from the show, it will be interesting to see if Netflix can continue with only Robin Wright as the lead evil-doer. I'm curious how they'll write him out of the show.In any case, watch this season if you want, if only to complete the whole thing but be prepared to be disappointed.
