Some things I liked some I did not.
Seraherrera
The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
Brennan Camacho
Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Mathster
The movie runs out of plot and jokes well before the end of a two-hour running time, long for a light comedy.

I have gone through the onerous and draconian process of registering with IMDb just so I can say that I truly missed this series when it got canceled. I loved it and I loved the premise of it. As we regain contact with those with whom we grew up in this Facebook age, I can see us confronting all sorts of issues that we thought were cut and dried as teenagers (gosh, do they have the moral high ground.) That's exactly what these people were confronting: issues that had arisen that they never thought could happen to them, failing to meet expectations, changing potential, coming to terms with life as it happened rather than as you dreamed it to be. They were learning to live with the realization that potential was something you had in college, reality was now. Just my two cents worth.

Thankfully short-lived series about a group of incredibly annoying baby boomers and their pointless meaningless lives. This was (I believe) the first show to attempt to appeal directly to baby boomers. Thirty something did hit it big with that audience but that didn't start until 1987. thirty something was another annoying show with whiny characters who were constantly complaining and moping about--but it was a masterpiece compared to this. The acting in this was OK but the scripts were just dreadful. The first one dealt with a couple with a kid or two--but they weren't married. Nobody knew--they just assumed they were. So we spend an HOUR with these two going on endlessly about whether or not to marry. (They decide not to BTW). The second dealt with a divorced woman who was throwing a party because her divorce was finalized. Really--that was it. Another dull hour with this pathetic woman trying to act happy but (sigh) she's really depressed inside. After those I stopped watching. Every single line and situation was predictable--I got the feeling that the writers for this show assumed the audience was full of idiots. I believe it only lasted a month or two. Be happy you never caught this. Despite the fact that virtually every TV show is being put out on DVD I HOPE they'll skip this one.
