An action-packed slog

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Diego is very different than Dora. He doesn't voyage out to Strawberry Mountain but does good things for the environment. He cleans up landscapes and helps baby animals find where they belong. He wears proper attire and of course, Rescue Pack provides everything else.He is supposed to be a male Dora, but he does way more than Dora does. He talks about exotic animals that my two year old niece recites perfectly with him. Diego does deal with dangerous animals, but as he says "He is an animal rescuer" and had to work for his Animal Rescuer Patch, which is easily explained to children. Diego is fun and light hearted with catchy beats.

I hate to tear down something that tries to be positive, but this show has some serious problems. First of all, everyone has already gone over how unoriginal the show is, how it's just Dora for boys. That is no big deal, though. My issue with this program is the message it sends kids:Baby wild animals are friendly and adorable and they NEED YOUR HELP.We live in Alaska, where coming across bears is a very real possibility. All I can picture is Diego finding a baby bear:DIEGO: Oh, look, a baby bear! He needs our help! BABY JAGUAR: Rowr! DIEGO: Look, here comes Mama Bear. She wants to give us a thank-you hug! You're welcome, Mama BeaaaAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!Teach kids respect for nature and love of animals, that's great. But they need to learn that wild animals are wild and should be left alone. After one episode, we never watched this show again and never will.

Same old, same old. Dora with a boy instead of a girl. Good show because kids learn about animals, but same plot as the Dora show. Just trying to capitalize on the Dora fame. Instead of Map, there's Click the camera who takes a pic and tells you where the animal is. Instead of backpack, there's rescue-pack, which can transform into things to help Diego out. Instead of Boots, there's Baby jaguar or his sister Alicia. It's not original. There are a lot of similarities between Dora the Explorer, but of course that's where he came from, Dora. The show is good because it teaches you a lot about animals, has catchy songs, and is entertaining, but don't expect more than what Dora is because it's just like Dora with a boy for the lead character. My daughter and I like it, but you can see the resemblance with Dora when you watch it.

My 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son are both HUGE Dora fans. Now, they have to watch Dora and Diego both, and if they happen to miss Diego for the day, I have VERY upset kiddos. Their 7 year old brother also enjoys Diego on his days off of school, or when (thanks to inDemand) I've "rented" Diego for his sibs. We love Rosie Perez as Click(s?) and my 2 year old just loves Baby Jaguar as Diego's constant companion. And I have to agree with the other commenter here, that I find myself occasionally dancing in my seat to the music, and FREQUENTLY find myself singing "Click! Take a pic! Click! Take a pic!" late in the evening much to my annoyance. The songs are annoyingly catchy and get stuck in your head, but they're so cute that you don't mind.
