Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
shabanavdulaj The first thing that you notice when you start watching this series is the art and animation. The animation is gorges, the best animation I have seen, the landscapes are so detailed and the characters in some moments looks like CGI only they aren't. The soundtrack is really good especially in the action scenes, in those scenes the music mixes such well with the action such gives chills. Before I started watching this series I was afraid that the character development would be like Fate Stay Night 2006 but I am very happy they did justice to the characters and gave them more story and more dialog. The series is very entertaining but it has some flaws, flaws that I can't talk about without spoiling the show but they are very random in a lot of Japanese series.Overall I really enjoyed the show even more than Fate/Zero and I highly recommend it.
danielocn1 This show is the first anime I can call a guilty pleasure. As many may know at this point, this show looks gorgeous, the action scenes specially are breath-taking and the overall animation is top notch, the concept is... interesting, I guess. And, the most important thing about it (for me at least) is that it's entertaining as f*ck.And it's not an small thing, there's a lot of "bad" with this series, like the rules of the "game" that can be bend by... anyone basically. Or the bland, stereotyped, absolutely imbecile characters that conform the protagonist and the main characters (Masters, mainly), and the-sometimes-predictable-plot of the overarching story. But the animation, action and charisma from a couple of Servants make the show somewhat worth it.Is not great, at all. But the way it is able to make itself watchable by having a great look, OK music and a few really interesting characters is an achievement by itself. I can recommend it, just have fun.
mchen-87793 I watched Fate/Zero first and loved it, so naturally I was excited to watch this one too. I was incredibly disappointed. The story was slow-paced. The same one narrow theme is repeated so frequently that you are almost tempted to fast-forward through some of the dialogue because you already know what they are going to say. The other Masters are given only a small amount of back-story, so you don't forge any sort of emotional connection to them. Rin and Emiya (and their Servants) are the main focus of the show. This is unfortunate for several reasons.Emiya, is a dunce whose only worth/uniqueness is his unyielding stubbornness. In any realistic situation, he would have been eliminated in the first few episodes, but he seems to survive countless near- death experiences simply because he is a main character rather than any clever solutions or tricks (for example, he runs into multiple fights without the ability to actually fight, and another character saves him or the opponent decides it's "more fun" to wait to kill him). He apparently doesn't understand the simple concept that if he dies in a situation that he clearly cannot handle, he would be unable to save any more people. But his plot- armor is essentially infinite so... He also does not go through any character development. He is the same person in the beginning of the show as he is in the end, just with more fighting ability.I don't have much to say about Rin. I like her personality, but she doesn't get any character development either. The romance in this anime is also incredibly obvious and childish. There is no question or mystery to it. Just combine all the middle school clichés.Fortunately, Archer is interesting. But he is the only multidimensional character. The motives of all the other characters are incredibly obvious. There are absolutely no surprises in this anime except for one twist.
Alexandrspyr With this budget you can expect amazing visuals combined with good soundtrack which generates some incredible action scenes!!! And that's where it stops, I wish the action was non stop because I would honestly pay money to save myself from these characters. The characters are two dimensional at best, and the interactions are very boring and bland coupled with really flat dialog which is the 80% of the anime, which as a result leads to me trying not to fall asleep. You have a Holy Grail War setting with magic and warriors and you center it around boring kids? Archer might be just the only interesting character.Watch this for the incredible visuals and fight scenes, nothing more.
