Slow pace in the most part of the movie.

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

The show is dull without the structured camera shots, cliff hanger antics prior to a commercial break or the OMG! GASP! WHAAAA reactions to finding a piece of stick, still, the show is running in circlesUnless it is an already discovered site, you get over dramatized, scripted actions, antics and drama *SNAKE!*I enjoy hearing Josh's narration, he has a terrific voice and presence, but come on...how many times, how many YEARS must we endure cold sites with nothing, cold myths, NEEDING existing hunters supplying their honey holes and the such, before the show is booted or a larger investment committed to ?I just feel like the show is more reminding of a band that was famous in the 80's, who's only real "Hits" were Live Fast Die Young and Back Against the wall.Oh well.

Hello> I was very touched by Joshes reaction to finding out he was going to be a Father. Why not give his viewers a LOOK AT THAT moment of his greatest treasure his baby>> I am a big fan . Another thing why not let Josh actualy find what he's looking for. He deserves it and as fans SO DO WE>>> hahahaha.Love the family atmosphere with his crew. Great work guys

I was looking forward to this show when it debuted, but after seeing a few episodes, they all ended up being buzz kills. They hype up the subject and mystery, then of course, not find anything. The only positive thing out of this show is, that the crew of the show get to travel to these cool places and WE, as viewers, get to pay for their travels simply by watching the show. Good for them, hope they are living it up!

If Mike Rowe is the people's everyman host, Josh Gates is the host you most want to be. Who wouldn't want to travel the world investigating odd and unusual stories and historical mysteries? And not only that, Josh never seems to have a bad day. Perhaps it's just the magic of television but he genuinely seems to have fun with everything no matter what situation he seems to find himself in. He seems to genuinely enjoy his job and it comes through in every episode. The show thinly veils itself as being about history and archaeology, but it really is about Gates and his adventures and misadventures around the world. Occasionally you will learn something and they will find something archaeologically interesting, but that's really not what the show is about. Being on the Travel channel, it's as much about the travel and experience as it is the science. Perhaps more so. The show is well worth the watch.
