The Stevens are a middle-class family living in Sacramento, CA. Husband and father Steve is a successful attorney. Wife and mother Eileen is a state Senator. Their oldest child Donnie ia a high-school sports legend. Ren, an 8th-grader, is just about the perfect daughter. She makes the best grades, she's popular, she does volunteer work and other extracurricular tasks by the score. Her brother Louis, in the 7th grade, is her opposite. He likes to sleep late, he's messy, his grades are not good, he's frequently in detention and he seems to take nothing seriously. But he is serious about finding something of his own that he can do to put himself on a par with the rest of his overachieving family. Though he and Ren occasionally soften their attitudes toward each other, at any given moment the're likely to be fighting like mongoose and cobra.

Even Stevens Audience Reviews

Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Tayyab Torres Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
metalminister I was in the hospital for back surgery (martial arts injury)when this show debut in August 2000.I was depressed, could not walk, & was subject to lying in bed. So all I could do was Read or watch T.V. & to my surprise I started to watch The comedy channel,TCM, Nick & Disney to get my mind off the severity my my ordeal! At first I only watched a few episodes of even stevens & thought it was OK for a grade schooler, then I recovered & stopped watching it. In 2002 I had to stop teaching/coaching my fighters & I ended up closing my business due to continued back problems. Once again I was depressed & out of work...so I watched Disney again & saw a commercial for even stevens(the one that looked like Indiana Jones) & noticed the cast looked older & it seemed funnier...Man was it funnier, in fact the show was emmy nominated & shia won an emmy for his performance! This is a very talented cast!Sure it took a little while for the show to get better(shia got less annoying & became brilliant). Disney needs to get their head out of their ____ & play more even stevens to show the new generation what a real teen comedy should look like 'cause it seems that a lot of the new young viewers never even heard of it! Nick's "Drake & Josh" is the only new show that has a similar slapstick sense of humor but, it is still not as unique! EVEN STEVENS= 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & that's coming from an Adult!
sukotsuto It's hilarious, pure and simple; Every character in this always well-made show is perfect for their roles. Of all the Disney show offering in the Disney channel, this is the only one that I watch the full 30mins. Shia Lebouf is a true highlight for the show, same goes Christy Carlson-Romano in many ways. Other than the two mentioned (Shia and Christy), there are other unforgettable characters (in which I'm gonna mention their screen names) like Tawnee, Twitty, Coach Tugnut, Principal Rumsfield, Bean, and many more. Even the weird musicals they throw in sometimes sounds great(thanks to Christy's voice, since most of the musical scenes star her), fits the show's theme well, and is unusually well choreographed for a TV show. The only thing I don't like much in the show is the claymation intro (in which I find looking very old), since that didn't attract me to the show when I first saw it. EVENtually (pardon the pun), I did get into the show. The first one I watched is the one where Shia thought that Twitty's ex-GF has a crush on her. There are lots of weird moments there that really made me laugh a lot.You couldn't go wrong watching Even Stevens... I know I liked it a lot!
loveshiaandtaylor I love this show so much i have every episode recorded of it and i watch it every day shia labeouf does an awesome job as the main character (louis stevens) and christy romano (ren) who i am obsessed with seems to the the perfect actress to play a perfect girl this show is my favorite show of all time and i give it 4 out of 4 stars and 2 thumbs up!!!
DominqueZarinha I get a ball out of watching this show everyday. I love it! My favourite character is Louis (Shia LaBeouf). He is so funny and not to mention cute. He's always coming up with these "half baked" schemes and then someone is always blaming him for something or the other. Donny, Beans, Steve, Eileen, they are all wonderful. Donny's a bit of a flake though. Tawny is good as well as Twitty. However let's get dirty. Then there is Ren. Now I'm not perfect but then who is. She acts too perfect for me. Christy Romano Carlson can act really good and all but the one thing I hate to see her do is sing. I HATE TO HEAR HER SING. PLEASE. She cannot sing. What about that episode with the surfers. There she is singing "Surf's up, let it roll, let it rock, let it roll". Her annoying high pitched sh**ty voice drowns out everyone else in it. UGH! Ren, words of advice, don't sing, please, just don't. She could cause Monsoon rains to start! I love Louis though. He's the only reason I watch. He's funny and he makes the show what it is and it couldn't have been better.
