Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Softwing
Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
Ezmae Chang
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Quiet Muffin
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

As a pre-med major it's awesome to see a show that actually protrays the medical field correctly. I love that they don't dumb things down, the medical terms are correct to those used in medical books. As well the characters are all individually interesting & lovable, the storyline is always growing, many twist, I've watched this show from beginning to end many times & everytime its always amazing. one of the only shows that demonstrates raw, honest emotions, & characters that are relatable, & storylines that are intense & interesting to follow

'ER' was the show' that introduced us to the talents of George Clooney and lots of others. It was also ahead of its game at the time in terms of accurate representation of hospital emergency rooms.Yes, it went through its ups and downs, with some of the replacement characters who came in not being held in the same amount of acclaim as the originals, but for any show to remain on air and still be loved after 15 years is quite a feat.Nowadays shows like this are almost taken for granted, but back in its day 'ER' was THE show. It deserves the recognition it still continues to get.

Some TV shows have a structure such that you can tell almost from the beginning how long the show has to live. As much as I loved "Scrubs", that show was built around a few core characters, and once their stories were played out, that was pretty much be the end of that show. "Cheers" basically had a double length of life due to the fact it was actually two shows instead of one - the first 5 seasons with Diane and the last 6 seasons with Rebecca as the female lead. "ER" is different. It has a large cast of constantly revolving characters, and the story lines will always be there as long as there is controversy in medicine to merge with the personal drama. Early in ER's history, things were different. George Clooney's character, Doug Ross, was really the star of the show, although they did spread the stories around so that there was quite a bit of focus on the other characters too. This was a successful formula, but once Clooney became a star and a heartthrob he quickly tired of television and longed for the big screen. Thus, starting in season four, he is absent more and more as he goes off to make action films and the show began to look like it was going to suffer from "Welcome Back Kotter" syndrome, where John Travolta's success on the silver screen killed that show. After Clooney actually did formally exit stage left, the show changed the formula to its current one of spreading the action around with nobody in particular having the spotlight. I guess my point with all of this is, this is how ER managed to go on a total of 15 seasons, with even one extremely unlikeable character being written in as interesting, even if that one character in particular came to an end worthy of Wiley Coyote.Highly recommended.

Quite honestly, after season 9, the summary of the episodes becomes quite disappointing for me, most of the original characters gone, Carter and Lockhart going sour, I really hopped that would bear fruit, but season 9 is the last straw for me, all in all, it was great up to that point, I can understand people coming and going for other interests, but seriously, George Clooney not at Mark Green's funeral? What the heck, best buddy, hello, ring any bells? Talk about tragedy. In the end, what I've seen otherwise is great, breathtaking, and well worth my time. I don't think Lucy deserved such an early exit, I mean come on? Such a sweet actress, and to split Mark Greene and Susan Lewis, only to have her come back when he's dying from a brain tumor, talk about pathetic, so many romantic breakups, call me a hopeless romantic, but I believe in happy endings, and there were more unhappy thank happy endings in my point of view.
