2hotFeature one of my absolute favorites!
Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
fedor8 It's obvious for anyone with half the reasoning power of a stranded, demented/autistic whale that this show was designed as a comedy program - while slyly masked as a reality show that seeks real talent.First of all, there is no talent to be found in hip-hop: black, white, green... rap music does not attract serious musicians - or musicians period. Hip-hop is music for the tone-deaf and those who easily succumb to massive media hype. Secondly, whites rapping has been accepted as a sort of joke in itself. Not that black rappers aren't silly themselves! The difference between the two is that blacks imitate blacks when striving for hip-hop glory, whereas whites also imitate blacks - which results in high comedy 99.99% of the time. Hence we seem to regard white rappers as clowns - something this show takes advantage of with obvious zeal; evidence of this is more than abundant and to be found in the laughable and degrading tasks the ten foolish candidates get in every episode. Every single task exposes the appallingly low IQs of the contestants and their utter and total gullibility. The joke's on them, yet I doubt that a single one of them realized this in the course of the show's taping. Several of them occasionally complained about the tasks for being dumb or pointless, but they never took the next stop in common-sense reasoning i.e. never added 1 and 1, reaching the painfully obvious conclusion that signing up for this show can only pay off to the winner of the $100,000 dollars. The rest walk off as unpaid (or barely paid) clowns/freaks, the objects of our endless amusement.Reality shows generally have a very low-brow status, and many people won't even own up to the fact that they watch them. I don't fall into this snotty category. Many reality shows are admittedly fake or far too annoying, but TWRS is one of the good ones. There is nothing acted/scripted about Sulley getting angry over nothing every five minutes, G-Child genuinely thinking she can project "toughness", or that dumb "Hallelujah Hallebam" Chavez/Che Guevara-fan talking in all earnestness about his "ghetto revival" project. There is much to enjoy here, whether it be appalling rhymes, the stupid pseudonyms, bruised egos, childish posturing, phony rebellious behaviour or the way these "hip mofos" try to talk. It's a circus, it's a zoo... it's fun.If you're one of the ten sheep who took part in this reality show, please vent your anger by clicking "NO" below... So far 8 of you have. Where are the other two? Don't you ever read anything apart from your "rhymes"?
blackarachnia2 This show is beyond bogus and not that interesting to begin with. I'm not sure what's worse about this show? Listening to these kids spewing out liberal amounts of the f-word or the fact that these kids aren't great rappers to begin with. What the hell were the producers smoking when they thought of this I don't know but I do know that you have to have a natural talent to rhyme or you won't survive in this business. All of the little boys that MC Strech have on this show are just plain arrogant. When M.C. Strech has to pick someone to get that money I hope that he picks the right person. I just hope to hell that it's not Sullee.
