It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

This show is a classic, especially for being a Nickelodeon show. Let's face it, Nick has some great shows (this is one), but Nick can also have some pretty bad ones. This outshines every. Single. One, and in all ways. It's funny and heartfelt. Even coming back to it after many years of having not watched it, it's still funny to me, while other shows I go back to and don't even crack a smile. This show has you laughing 90% of the time, and that's definitely a positive. It doesn't take itself too seriously. It's charming and has a blend of great characters. Even characters that are just side- characters and only appear in one episode are great. Drake is your classic high-school guy who's the most popular there. And Josh is your classic awkward high-schooler. You find them getting into many different situations that span from them working their way through a long line of a roller coaster to them being hunted down by America's Most Wanted Criminal. And that's what makes the show so special. For it's time, it was revolutionary among other Nick shows, and nothing can replicate it. iCarly came close. It had the same mix of characters and humor, but there's just something about these two that makes it more personal. You see their relationship develop over the time of the show. They start out by hating each other, but then, by the end, they're best friends. You also see their personalities develop. Drake becomes much less macho and more down-to-earth and heartfelt, and Jost becomes less awkward and weird. iCarly just didn't seem to replicate that. At the beginning of that show, the main 3 characters were all friends and it just kind of stayed that way, and they didn't really change. And that's also why Drake & Josh is a modern marvel. It's not afraid to make fun of itself, and tiny details that you think may not be important may then become super important in a hilariously funny way. This show is great, and I recommend anyone who hasn't watched it before to go watch it. Even though it's not on Nickelodeon's website anymore, you can find every episode on other websites for free or you can get it off of Amazon.

One common thing to hear, is how the kids TV shows aren't as good as they used to be, how those shows aren't made like they used to. A lot of people from Generation Y, have early childhood memories of kids shows that aired in the '80s and '90s and memories of Saturday morning cartoons. However, so many people talk about how they don't like the shows that kids watch nowadays. Even kids from today who weren't even born when the shows we grew up with aired, seem to prefer the shows we grew up with rather than the shows they have today. Basically, it seems like since the dawn of the 21st Century, the kids shows on TV, haven't been good anymore. However, there are a couple of exceptions and Drake & Josh is definitely an exception. This TV show aired for 3 years on Nickelodeon, and can still be watched on Teen Nick. It aired during the years 2004-2007, and I can't believe how long ago those years were. While they don't make anymore episodes, it is still nice to catch reruns. Watching reruns will take you back to when this TV show aired on TV, and you'll get some good laughs, as this show is hilarious. I've seen every episode, and laughed at like every episode. Sometimes, I even laughed really hard, as it's definitely a very funny show. They keep a laugh track on the TV show, which can help you laugh at scenes. The show talks about the lives of two step brothers, Drake and Josh. Josh's Dad married, Drake's Mom and those two have to learn to live with each other. They show they care about each other, but it will take a whole episode of their bickers before we see it. Drake and Josh have all these funny things happen in their lives. They also are frequently pranked by their annoying little sister, Megan played by Miranda Cosgrove. We have Drake, who is a cool and handsome guy. He plays the guitar, and he gets all the girls. The girls always seem to go after Drake. Drake has the lucky things happen in his life. However, Drake is a slacker, he is irresponsible, and he is also the more rebellious type, but they keep this kid appropriate as Drake doesn't swear and they don't show him do more than kissing. He doesn't talk about sex, drugs, or alcohol. So, while he frequently gets in trouble for doing things, he doesn't do the things parents would worry more about their adolescents doing. We have Josh, and the bad luck seems to fall on Josh. Josh is the smart one, yet he is still a total weirdo. Everything seems like it has to be perfect for Josh, Josh is quick to show a crazy reaction. We have a few other minor characters from the show that frequently make an appearance, including Josh's girlfriend Mindy. This TV show is also good, as again it's funny. It's cool the part Drake plays in it, like the song we hear at the beginning of the show, "Found A Way" is actually a cool song sung by Drake, as Drake is talented in singing and the guitar. If you're up for a good TV show on Nickelodeon, this is definitely one to watch. I found the show on TV, before I even heard about it, and can't help but notice how cool of a show it is. It's a TV show that leaves me feeling good, and gives me a good laugh. Too bad it wasn't on TV longer, one reason I thought I heard it ended is because of Miranda Cosgrove moving to ICarly. I believe most of us prefer Drake and Josh over Icarly. Oh well, this show did really well. So did the two movies they made for this show. I give Drake and Josh a 10/10.

Drake & Josh, just the name itself giving you a heart warmed feeling about these two goof balls!I have a few compliments for this show from my point of view. They are as follows:1) Drake Parker and Josh Nichols, played by the hilarious Drake Bell and Josh Peck, are absolutely dimwitted in a good, belly laughing type way!2) The music of some episodes, is just, awesome! I even liked the fact one episode even had Drake play the theme song in it!3) The comedic timing of the characters is just, quote unquote from Inspector Gadget, "Wowzers!" I could go on with this list, but I don't think I should! One of the show's episodes, just gets me laughing so hard it splits my sides! Okay, TWO episodes. It makes me feel like a child doing pranks again when I see Megan's pranks on the Drake and Josh dynamic duo!All in all, I give this show an ultra, shiny, and brilliantly rare 10 out of 10. PS-IF you watch any live action show, I recommend The Amanda Show or Drake and Josh! Peace out!

Now that is not to say this is a bad show, it isn't, in fact it is one of the better live Nick shows now. Certainly better than iCarly and Zoey 101.When Drake and Josh started, it was very funny, with two great lead characters, funny writing and above average story lines. And I have always liked the sets and the music. Recently though, it is not so great. It isn't dreadful, really it is actually watchable still, but the stories are more predictable than they were and Josh has become annoying. The writing is still amusing, just not as funny or as clever. That said, the acting is still great with believable chemistry. In conclusion, a good show, perhaps lacking in quality recently but it is still watchable. 7/10 Bethany Cox
