otaviofm It's a rare event for me to write reviews, but this show really made my mind to do so. The storyline background it's a very explored theme: alien invasion; but the approach given by this series is really something new. Usually, alien invasion stories takes one of two opposed sides: total anihillation, with humans going near to extinction, or a disguised invasion with aliens infiltrating themselves into human society without getting noticed. Colony takes to a midway between the two, wich I found very interesting. Though with a lot of restrictions and military oppression, the "hosts" or "RAP's", as they aliens are called, allows humans to have some kind of "normal life" to some point. That makes most of population to accept and even collaborate with occupation, based on privileges given by the situation and the belief that it's only a temporary situation, while another part decides to resist and fight. Combined with the rich characters and their complex own motivations, Colony build a story that really hooks the audience, making you keep thinking on it after watching - which is a feature of every great show. Colony is surprisingly underrated and I really don't know why it's not a huge success yet. Well.. Review given, my last advice is GIVE IT A CHANCE! When thoughts like "What would I do in his/her situation? What decision would I take? Which side I would stand for?" start passing through your mind while or after watching, then it's too late - you are hooked!

Lcarroll42 Colony was one of the top 2-3 shows on USA, and not only did they cancel this great show, but they allowed the show to end without ANY storyline completion. USA Network is a bunch of morons for canceling Colony.I hope that Netflix or any other network picks up this show...

babicddb A very unique series, one of the best at the moment and one of the best sci-fi series I've ever watched, they managed to do something fantastic, you even do not see any aliens at all, except in some rare moments, but who cares, the series is incredibly good,it's tense, interesting, you can hardly wait for the next episode, and just when it begins to become even more interesting and develops in completely different ways, someone has decided to cancel this series, i mean WTF,what is wrong with you,you have pure gold here, which you can lead and develop in different directions,this series simply has to continue, I hope that someone will recognize its value and that we will watch many more seasons of this excellent show, you are forgetting that there is a market outside of the United States, this series is very popular in Europe, canceling this show in such a meaningless, brutal and stupid way raises the question of whether there is any reason for USA Network to continue with its existence and with its work, I do not think , because this is a scam and a betrayal of the audience.
