PlatinumRead Just so...so bad
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Taylor Kingston I'm honestly very upset, and sad that this show got cancelled. I thought it was so good. It was funny, entertaining, with a good plot, and interesting characters. But oh well. I can't win everything. This show is about a group of people who all went to high school together, but in very different crowds, who now all work in the same barbershop, in Massachusetts. They are all very different people, and Charmaine is just hilarious. I think the style of the show is very interesting.Overall, I give this TV show an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.
deshan-78580 Before I start this review, let me let you guys know that this review might contain a few spoiler alerts, viewer discretion is advised. Clipped (originally Buzzed) is an American sitcom starring Mike Castle & Ashley Tisdale. It first debuted on TBS in June of 2015. The show's plot follow a bunch of employees in a hair salon shop. That's all I can give you for the plot since there's little story development. Now let's see if this show was worth adding to the TBS slot or not. Pros: - Ashley Tisdale is hot Cons: - Very cheesy dialogue - Poor character development - Little to no story - Bad acting - Lousy presentation If it wasn't for the sexy Ashley Tisdale, then this show would have been a big fat 1. That's the only reason why I gave this show a 2/10. If you want some Ashley Tisdale goodness, then go watch Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Tisdale deserves a better show than this lifeless garbage.
imdbuser1111 I think it's an overall fun show to watch, but I can see why it's getting a lot of hate - it feels like just another typical unfunny multi-camera sitcom that doesn't stand out and won't go past season 1. I think the premise itself is original and interesting - a group of former high school classmates who work together in a barbershop because they couldn't pursue their intended careers (which is also relatable) and that they were hired by another guy they went to high school with who bought the barbershop from an older man (George Wendt) who now just works there with people young enough to be his children. The problems with the show is that most of the lines are cheesy and unfunny, and Ben and Mo's heavy Boston accents are so unnecessary and obviously fake. Just because it takes place in Boston it doesn't mean the main characters need accents. It's fine if the recurring minor characters like the Doyle sisters have accents but not the main characters. I'm just really glad the main female characters don't have accents - if that were the case the show would be completely unwatchable. Another problem with the show is that sometimes it tries too hard to be funny and I have a feeling most of the story lines will be predictable and full of clichés. I think this show has potential and it can improve if they come up with more clever jokes without trying too hard, more original story lines that develop and end properly without leaving any major plot holes, and get rid of the guys' Boston accents, or at least make them more subtle. I also don't find the main characters very likable, but they're not completely intolerable either. Ben, Mo, and Joy are annoyingly over the top and too cartoonish; and Danni, AJ, and Buzzy are kind of bland. Charmaine is the most likable character in my opinion. She's not as irritating as Mo, Ben, and Joy and she's more interesting than Danni, AJ, and Buzzy
Aktham Tashtush Well the story is new on TV ,, a barbershop with funny bits a people ,, yep you know what i mean,, but the plot was a fresh the script looks alright the whole episode was easily understandable and the comedy was a bit mild not the strongly laughable type but it was distributed evenly on the characters and the time of the episode which i think what made it somehow partially enjoyable.I think they better up their game on the script a notch at least in the first couple of episodes ,, having giggles is okay but even one strong laugh would make the show more appealing and catchy. As for the cast; i weirdly felt that Ryan Pinkston the guy who had a couple of short scenes in the episode was the funniest i really wish to see more of that "i hate you all" kind of banter for him,, it really fits .. Mike Castle, George Wendt, Diona Reasonover were all okay as for Matt Cook and Ashley Tisdale i still didn't feel their comedy.Overall, we can't say the choice of Tbs was wrong for the show considering the history of the network, but i think they'll make things work for the show and the audience,, yet i don't think it'll be the type of shows to be renewed for a second season (same as "Ground Floor","Your Family Or Mine") but let's see how the next couple of episodes will turn to be.
