Info

Class of 3000 is an American animated television series on Cartoon Network that was created by, was executively produced by, and starred André 3000 of the Hip Hop group OutKast as superstar and music teacher Sunny Bridges, set at Atlanta, Georgia's Westley School of Performing Arts. Mr. Bridges is a jazz and blues artist who occasionally lectures in Atlanta's Little Five Points residential area. It was produced by Tom Lynch Company, Moxie Turtle and Cartoon Network Studios. As of September 25, 2011, it's currently the last Cartoon Network series to be given a TV-Y7 rating without the Fantasy Violence side rating to accompany it as an ironic result. It is also the final Cartoon Network show which aired at the time Jim Samples had been in charge of Cartoon Network.

Class of 3000 Audience Reviews

Nonureva Really Surprised!
Tockinit not horrible nor great
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Ariella Broughton It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
baddotcom I was reading some of the previous comments and had to chuckle out loud at the adults reviewing a show for kids. Some of you are having a hard time trying to figure out why you do not understand the show. One guy cannot figure out the title (Class of 3000:Andre 3000 creator of the show) and so forth. Basically the show is not meant for you. It's meant for the kids and if you children like it....is that all that matters? The show got great ratings and is coming back for another season because kids love the show.I personally found the show to be creative, colorful and entertaining. There is not too much hidden adult humor like most children's shows that I have watched with my kids. Nice lessons throughout the show and great interaction between the various ethnic backgrounds....something that the young Americans need to see. Great examples of how we can all get along being from "Different Strokes" As long the show continues to display a positive message to my children and give them interest in music (which is has for mine and millions of other children) then I am all for it. I look forward to another season of a great show! Don't read too much into the super detailed negative reviews from the adults. They are trying to be overly analytical of a show designed for children. Watch it with your kids, form your own view and if they like the show and you see it fitting for them to view. Please let them be entertained.
breslin-3 I don't like Outkast music. I don't like the music in this show. I don't know how anyone could find music in that flurry of post-production. The characters aren't very original, nor are the situations. And the way Andre 3000's character is portrayed seems very egotistical. All this considered, I was going to hate this show. Before I saw it, I couldn't imagine how I'd like it. And I was wrong. The redeeming factor here is the creativity, a sort of creativity that nearly every modern cartoon is lacking. There's creativity in the writing, in the animation, in everything. And it all flows seamlessly. The story-boarding is better than anything else on the station. My favorite part I've seen is when the kids each play their instruments, bringing Sonny the world of their music. The transitions between the kids are seamless and clever, while also managing to make me crack a smile. It's one of those cases where a bad story is told well enough to be redeemable. There are some very talented people behind this one, and their work makes the complaints of this review seem minor. I find myself enjoying it very much.
JamiJR In his interviews Mr. "3000" suggests he wants the cartoon's so-called "music" to be listenable outside of the episodes. That he wants a "mish-mash of kids" to show all types. What he has instead is boring, repetitive - things - that doesn't even begin to qualify as real music. Nails on a chalkboard has more musical quality then what passed for "music" on this tired cartoon. As for the kids, they're such heavy stereotypes - from the over-talkative white blond girl to the overweight and tough black girl - that one could see them as verging on racist. One can only hope this cartoon is swiftly put to sleep.
stove_top6 Watch it if you can stay awake. Boring, drab and awful.Sound: Hey, good music - I'll give it that. And I like the focus on getting kids interested in music...Writing: But bland writing, and - let's be honest...Animation: Lousy pseudo-psychedelic animation. I get the "old skool" style of the animation, but these days it's easy to defend lazy animators by saying they're being "retro" or "artsy". Garbage. My other 5 critics: And this is what it boils down to - NOT ONE of my five kids, ranging from 2 to 9 years, sat through more than 5 minutes of this drivel. I hope Cartoon Network doesn't lose its shirt over this 30 minute Outkast commercial. In summary: AVOID.
