Bunsen is a Beast Audience Reviews

BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
Grimossfer Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Kyle Byers When I saw the previews for this show I said, "Oh no, the cash grabbing flash animations has transferred from Cartoon Network to Nick." I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG!!! This show is amazing. Everything about it makes me want to see another episode. If you see previews you might think that this will be bad, but it has depth and the characters are thought out. I hope the negative reviews will be beat out because this show is great. My favorite episode is the one where the main villain is the hall monitor. Bunsen and Mikey get the new job because she is treating everyone badly. I love how they can make clichés entertaining.
mobengafer Most Nickelodeon shows today are either a live action sitcom with bad acting and a laugh track every 5 seconds for someone getting hurt and people getting bullied or a show filled with bathroom humor like Sanjay and Craig. But this is different compared to other nickelodeon shows it has very few toilet jokes and great backgrounds the animation may be bad but the backgrounds is what matters more. I like cartoony shows like Gumball and SpongeBob this has the same humor. Nickelodeon has a lot of bad shows but it also has a lot of good shows today. The great ones are this , SpongeBob , Harvey Beaks , Hunter Street , TMNT and probably Welcome to the Wayne since the first 7 episodes were very good. I have mixed feeling about The Loud House and Ride. FOP has gone really bad over the years since Sparky came. I love this show but in needs more airtime because it seems like SpongeBob and The Loud House get the most. Both of those shows have very high ratings so we need to boost up BIAB ratings.
Chris Gomez This show is extremely bland and generic. When I first heard this was made by Butch Hartman, I was pretty shocked to hear that the guy who made The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom, managed to make such a forgettable, one-dimensional show, featuring a concept that's been done hundreds of times before. The animation is lazy, even for Flash. The characters have no personality and they all fall into stereotypes, that we've seen many times before. Unlike with FOP and DP, we get no introduction to the show, and no explanation as to how Bunsen came to be and how he entered the life of Mikey. The first episode just starts, with them already being friends, expecting the audience to just accept the fact that a boy is friends with a monster. The main villain, Amanda, is very dull and her main goal is to get rid of Bunsen. Her motive to do this is unclear and apparently non-existent. Every character plays the role of someone like the villain, comic relief, best friend, love interest, etc. but none of them do anything new with it. Every episode is just as bland as the characters, lacking any intriguing stories or funny jokes.I find it amazing that such a bland show came from such an amazing writer. At least most of the time, when good writers go bad, you can tell they're at least trying to do something new. This time, it seemed like he just came up with the idea off the top of his head and produced the overall, idea for the series in a couple minutes. Bunsen is a Beast is a very mediocre and unfunny show and if you gave it a chance, you'd find yourself bored to death, halfway through the first episode.
avataryesthethundermansno This is Butch Hartman's next show after FOP, Danny Phantom, and TUFF Puppy. Nickelodeon has been going downhill since 2009. All the years before then were awesome. 2006-2008 were meh. 2009 ruined Nickelodeon. After then, Nick still had good shows: House of Anubis, The Legend of Korra, Robot and Monster, Penguins of Madagascar, Victorious, All In With Cam Newton, Legendary Dudas, Paradise Run, The HALO Effect, 100 Things To Do Before High School, Harvey Beaks, and Miraculous Ladybug, but they were all canceled for no good reason. Meanwhile, everything else was mediocre or just sucked. Not to mention great shows like iCarly, Spongebob, and Fairly OddParents went downhill. The only good shows we have now are Spongebob (it got better), TMNT, Ride, Power Rangers, The Loud House, and Bunsen is a Beast. This show is great, its like Ready Jet Go for older kids, but with some toilet jokes, cartoon slapstick, and bullies. Oh, and BIAB isn't about space like RJG. Bunsen is like Jet because they're both strange creatures from another world, and are perpetually happy and love everyone. Mikey and Darcy are like Sean and Mindy because they're humans and friends of the protagonists. Mikey and Sean are alike because they're smart, adorable, and wear green. Darcy and Mindy are alike because they're both adorable little girls. Sophie Sanders and Sydney are also alike. Amanda Killman and Mitchell Peterson are alike because they both hate the protagonist and their friends, and want to get rid of them. Anyway, Bunsen is a Beast is one of Nickelodeon's saving graces, due to being sort of a throwback to great classic Nick cartoons, and it provides clever social commentary on racism. Think about it. Bunsen is the first beast in an all-human school. Beasts and humans have never got along and have never went to the same school. Everyone at school, is weirded out by Bunsen, but Mikey, Darcy, and Sophie are kind and accepting of him. Amanda bullies Bunsen, because he's a beast, but Bunsen is nice to her back. This show promotes acceptance, kindness, diversity, and champions the right to be different. Plus, it doesn't promote bullying like the other Nickelodeon shows, (I'm looking at you, The Thundermans) because Amanda always gets punished for her actions and the main characters don't torture or abuse others for fun Plus, the plots are creative, silly, fun, and easy to follow for little kids. It has lots of great jokes and pop culture references. The animation style is AMAZING, even if it is animated in Flash. It has a style distinct from all of Butch Hartman's other shows, creative character designs, and Gorgeous looking backgrounds. It has very few toilet jokes, which is great because Nick puts tons of toilet humor into their cartoons into their shows nowadays. I definitely recommend this show.
