Hasmukh operates a small IT Consulting company "Shree Ganesh Computers Limited Inc" in Queens, NY. Staffed by a disinterested and lazy cast of characters, his business flounders. His home life is not much better. His wife Dimple, a frustrated and jobless artist, complains constantly about not having enough time to explore her creativity because of the demands of taking care of her dog, Bobby. Hasmukh tries desperately to balance his work and family, but neither seem to have his best interest at heart.

CommentsXp Best movie ever!
ChicRawIdol A brilliant film that helped define a genre
Billy Ollie Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
superrudike There seems to be a new genre of funny series. The first one of these I saw was "Master of None". You can watch it, the actors do a nice job, but where is the humor, where are the situations that make you laugh? Unfortunately this series is just the same. I am watching everything that goes on between the main characters, but (after two episodes) not once I had to smile, certainly not laugh. As lots of stereotypes are used, the show cannot be watched as "drama". Then what was the intention of the makers? We can only guess. But that it does not work is a certainty. Please bring back shows like Seinfeld. This is depressing. The six is for effort of the actors. Fire the script writers and give them something better to work with. Something funny maybe?
voractor First off, let me say that being an Indian-American business owner, my opinion may be a little biased. With that being said, Brown Nation is a MUST-SEE! This dramedy has something that appeals to a wide variety of audiences. It has a very subtle depiction of immigrant life in America, as well as the struggles that all entrepreneurs face while trying to make it out of the rat race. I love how this show captures the nuances of the 1st generation Indian/middle-eastern cultures, and how they are perceived by the Western world. This is not specific to American born citizens, but also to other immigrant cultures trying to make it in America. In my opinion the majority of Netflix original series are binge-worthy masterpieces, and Brown Nation is nothing short of that. Put this one in the top of your queue, I promise, you will be pleasantly surprised!
